The Bosphorus Turkish Cuisine, Indianapolis

This restaurant is fabulous! Nice food, good ambient music and nice service!

We just had one of the best dining experiences ever at the Bosphorus Turkish Cafe here in Indianapolis! The food is fabulous, the decor creates a wonderful middle eastern ambiance, and the service is gracious, attentive and friendly. We arrived at 9:30 pm, just 1/2 hour before closing, but we didn't feel rushed through our meal at all. We had the zuccini pancakes and falafel appetizers which were delicious and crispy. Our 9 year old son had the tomato soup which he enjoyed so much he ordered a second bowl! While all of our entrees were extremely well made, the Beef Mediterranean really was outstanding. For dessert we had the homemade baklava and turkish coffee-a little bit of heaven. The only thing that's too bad is that we are just visiting from out of town, so we can not become regulars at this wonderful place. But we will certainly be back on our next visit to Indianapolis.

Wow! I agree with these recent reviews of The Bosphorus and share the opinion that this turkish restaurant is a lovely meal and the experience within the charming older building just adds to the flavor and the experience. Well cooked Lamb is a beautiful meal and the lamb shish kabob is my choice each time I eat here. My husband is Turkish and we enjoy lamb at home regularly. In more than ten years, I have not experienced an unpleasant meal at the Bosphorus. Please try the various appetizers, tea and dessert to fully enjoy this turkish cuisine. My wedding reception was also held here and more than 20 people enjoyed the variety of foods, atmosphere and service.

This is a great restaurant with food that could not be any better. We have been there a few times and the servers are always neat, clean and helpful. I am so sorry for the unkind review I just read about this Turkish eating place as it does not, in our opinion, tell the whole, true picture of the restaurant. Our experience with them has been at special occasions with the entire family there and reservations having been previously made. We love it!

My family loves this restaurant! We go once or twice a month, for 3 years now. The food is always delicious.

This is a fun place for a taste of something different. My wife & I LOVE the hummus served with hot, grilled pita bread. Everything on the menu is worth trying 6 or 7 times :) Also the baklava is made fresh in-house & tastes like heaven. Excellent service. The owner seems to be there at all times and he's very nice. You can also have your future read by the bottom of your coffee cup. Enjoy!!! HIGHY RECOMMENDED

Upon arrival the exterior of the establishment was a little decieving; the inside was beautiful. We ate in fine dining. The food was absolutely delicious and plenty. The price was fair. The service was great and super friendly. If one is looking for extra-ordinary and romantic, Bosphorus Instanbul Cafe is perfect. The atmosphere was great for business, couples, or family dining.

If you've had Turkish food before, you want to come here. If you've never had Turkish food, you want to come here. Mostly packed from 11-12:30 because of it's location to Eli Lilly, this restaurant offers a limited menu of Turkish specialties. Doener kebab is one of my favorites. Reminds me of the cafes' I used to go to in Europe. The restaurant is set in an old, charming house and the servers are very nice.
