Bd's Mongolian Grill, Indianapolis

This was my first time to eat here and I don't plan to ever do it again. The food was average. I got a bowl that had caked on food on the bottom of it and a fork that had dirty fingerprints on it. The meat you can choose from is on a buffet bar - raw- and sitting there for who knows how long and whether it is cooled properly.I ended up getting a bowl full of vegetables grilled with sweet and sour sauce for $8.99. Pretty expensive.

My first experience at BDs Mongolian BBQ was enough for me not to go back for a multitude of reasons. 1) The host seated us at a table that was obviously dirty and had the nerve to wipe off some sauce with a dry napkin. We had to ask him to come back and wipe the table down with his cleaning rag because it was literally sticky. 2) Food was fairly good, until I saw little ants crawling on the table and the wall next to me. 3) They now charge you to take home your leftovers. WTH??? I paid for this food, and I should get to take it home without paying extra. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of. 4) My biggest issue came when it was time to pay the bill. I paid by credit card, and as I watched her walk away to the register, I saw her mixing drinks while holding my credit card in her hand. After a very long time waiting, she still had not finished my payment. In this day of identity theft, you don't walk away with someone's credit card and start doing other stuff. That's very bad business. As I waited, she continued to make drinks to the point where I had to actually go to the counter and ask her to run it while I was standing there. Thanks but no thanks, BDs Mongolian BBQ. I'll take my business back to Stir Crazy where the place is clean, and I get to take home my leftovers at no extra cost.

$16 to stand in line and interact with raw meats - not my cup of tea. I've had to go to BD's Mongolian Barbeque on two occasions and both have been the same - overcrowded with and oversized crowd waiting in line to have their raw chicken cooked before their eyes. When I go out to a decent meal, I kind of expect to sit and have my food prepared for me by people who are paid experts at doing just that. Why would I want to design my own Asian cuisine, assist in the preparation and stand there while someone cooks it? I guess if you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary, this is a good track, but be prepared to stand and wait while someone cooks your food. Be prepared to leave smelling like a grill. May not be the most relaxing place to take a date.

This is the best in Indy as far as location....you don't have to risk your life to go to it. Sadly, that can't be said for others in the dark parts of the city.

This is a great place to go if you like to make your food taste the way you want...bland or spicy..you can do it here. Everything from chicken, to shrimp, to prime rib can be grilled for you with your choice of vegetables. This is NOT cheap Chinese food so if your one of those people who get ill being near Chinese...give this place a try, you will be plesently surprised.

A friend of mine took me to this place for lunch the other day (Thanks Andrea!)and I love it. I have seen this place around for several years and have never gone. I was so wrong not to...lol...I am hooked. The atmosphere is nice. Very informal, but still very nice. It is a stir-fry type of place and the selection is vast. Just about any type of meat, veggie, spices/sauce that you could ever want. You pick your own creation and everything is served with white rice and tortillas. My teenage son loves this place as well. They have unlimited trips to the grill and Corey (my son) really gets his (my???) money's worth. Also good for younger kids too. My daughter, who is 5 and slightly picky, can even find something to eat. Couple of downsides to this place. The service stinks! Thank goodness you do most of the work yourself. Getting drink refills is a tad bit hard. I have been a few times now and every single time I was there the service was not so great. Oh, it can be pretty pricey if you take the family. Overall it is worth it. Good place to eat. Pretty healthy. And the kids get to eat something besides hamburgers. I'm hooked.

i went expecting to have a good meal,when i encountered many problems. Host slow to seat people,a manager just standing there watching,then when we got to the table, the sliverware was dirty and the server didn't come to the table for 15min. As we went to the food their were friut flies all around the food that was nasty so i ended my experience.
