This should be a one star restaurant. This place is a joke. I called them and asked if this was the type of place that cooked on tables in front of you. The guy who answered said YES. We drove 1 hour to get there, got inside and they had no such thing. He then said he had told me no...wow, now i am all the way there, wondering why he would lie to get me to come there. I look around and notice the place is empty. I soon learned why. After he told a lie to get me there i almost walked out but decided to give it a try since i went so far to try it. I sat down and ordered chicken with fried rice....he said they only had fried rice if you got a $16 add on which could feed a family of 4 to 5 people.....no regular orders of fried rice.....at an oriental restaurant....no i'm not kidding. I have ate 40 to 50 chinese and japanese places and always had fried rice. I asked if he was joking and he said he was not. I verify by saying 'so i have to pay $16 extra to get fried rice?'. he then replied yes sir! I got up and walked out. A complete waste. I know now why the place was empty. I hope this will warn away anyone who thinks of going there. Save your time and gas, like i only wish i had.
So pricey , nothing different , don't know why so expensive
food is soso , service is awful , hard to find something good
never eat this place again
better go other sushi place at Downtown (Sushi on the rocks has good sushi with reasonable price)
Go for the look and enjoy the food. I don't know what everyone else is complaining about. The food was great, my husband and I split a bento box and it rocked. The sushi was fresh and tasty and the staff was very friendly. The only thing that hurt our pocket book was the wine prices. But you don't have to drink there. :)
The staff was very knowledgable, but very slow! There was 10 of us that went and out of all the food only one thing was good! It cost $130 just for myself and my friend. And we only ordered two appetizers each with one martini each. Never again will I go there and I will never recommend it to anyone! We were set in a private room and the ceiling was open with all the pipes caked in black and gray dust! No music to set a mood, nothing! Very disappointing!
I absolutely loved this place. The server was extremely helpfull. There's a wide variety of menu items and sushi. And I loved the atmosphere, complete with soft Asian music in the background. I highly recomend it.
The hostes greeted me when I went in and seated me at the Sushi Bar as I was alone. The waiter took my order and brought me Meso soup and my drink shortly there after. Then the wait began for the Mekado Special (13 Sushi Plate Dinner)... 10 minutes, 20, 30, and finally after 45 minutes of wait, I got up, let the waiter have a peace of my mind and walked out of the place. This is the longest I've waited for 13 lousey Sushis.
