Country Kitchen, Indianapolis

So far I ve had Collard Greens twice, Yams, Catfish Twice, Meatloaf, Neckbones, Ribs, baked cornbread with sweet tea. OMG! So good! They can have a bigger restaurant with air, even tho I figure the warm environment is suppose to remind you of a southern restaurant. I just don t like closed in space when it comes to places to eat, but I sacrifice a lil discomfort for some good ol soul food. I ve never been to the south and the owners suppose to be from there, so I don t know the difference or how good it s suppose to be according to the negative comments. Hell I m going tomorrow after work to try they chops with some good ol catfish with mustard greens and black-eye peas with a dessert and see how that is. The two times I did go Tiffany had served me and I know what the other comments mean by the attitude part by the other employees, but Tiffany wasn t so much like that either time. They have the freshest catfish I ve had so far!

I went there the waiter did have a bad attitude. But the food made you want to slapp your moma! I think this is the best food in Indy!

I went here on Valentines Day. The food is awesome, but the servers have horrible attitudes. I am a person who loves to tip when service and food is good, but this time I didn't because of the attitude our waitress had. It is really sad that black people haven't figured out why we are not as successful as we could be. We already have it hard in life, why make it harder with a bad attitude. The owners of this establishment need to work on that and remind their servers of how important a positive attitude is. Other than the service, Country Kitchen is the best soul food restaurant in Indy.

OMG! I have never been to a place where you can eat the gravy all by it self. This place is the bomb! I have the fried pork chop meal with macaroni and cheese and pinto beans with a side of dressing. The dressing was poppin' with flavor. My mouth is alive with flavor. Thanks Country Kitchen!

I cannot find a restaurant with better peach cobbler, mixed greens, dressing, ox tails and catfish than Country Kitchen. The food was delicious. But the negative-- the building needs remodeling. Some of the waitress are not attentive. I went here on a Sunday with a relative and we sat for about 15 minutes before someone waited on us.

The food here is very good, and reminds you of your grandma's cooking. Now the service on the other hand is the worst! I have never been into such a place were everyones face is turned up, and you feel as if your a bother.

I went to Indianapolis with some of my girls. When we went in everyone was very polite greeting us because we was from another state. We enjoyed the food it was as good as grandma's. Everyone was full after we left we stayed that way for 6 hours. I give this resturant thumbs up. We will be back.

I have been to the country kitchen many times and the customer service has been horriable.because of that they will not get my business.ENOUGH of being rude black people and still expecting black people to support you!well you may think one person don't matter well word of mouth is the best advertisement and I am going to use it!!!!!!!!!!!!
