Bertolini's Authentic Trattoria, Indianapolis

My family and I have been dining at Bertolini's at the Indianapolis Circle Center Mall for that past two years. We have never failed to have an excellent meal and overall enjoyable dining experience. My measure of Italian restaurants is how well they do seafood and pasta. The top two here are the clams over linguini and the chopino. So far it is the only place in this city that I have found chopino on the menu. Sitting in front of a dish of steaming chopino pasta at Bertolini's transports me on a magic carpet to Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco. You can almost hear the sea lions barking.

If you are a corporate diner, they have the best perks program. The space is fashionable and the servers are generally great, even if not always knowledgeable. You may need to make a reservation since the downtown location can fill-up with events or weekends. The best part is definitely the food. The rosemary flat-bread (prepared in the wood-fired oven) and the chicken limone are my unbeatable favorites. They also have the best pomodoro in the Indy area. Bertolini's is a great experience for a treat or the daily grind of the wealthy.

this is our #1 italian place in indy for my wife & i. we just discovered it a couple of months ago, and we've been there 3 times. great tasting food, pizzas, linguini, desserts. Highly Recommended!

Food was ok, atmosphere was ok. Nothing great. I couldn't get drink refills and was given the wrong take home; never had that happen before, anywhere. Go ahead and try this place if you have no where else to go.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Indy. They have a good assortment of Italian meals always prepared to consistent quality in the 20-plus times I've been there. Their wine selection is good, but not on par with the food. Beer selection is an outright disappointment, aside from Guinness, all their selection is made of pale-water style beers, mostly domestic lights. The food quality paired with the medium cost of dining makes Bertolini's a great value.
