Yat's Restaurant, Indianapolis

me and my friend thinking about going can any body tell me more? It sounds good

If you live downtown or Broad Ripple and you're a follower then Yat's is for you. Mediocre Creole offerings driven by hype. The truth? Yat's is an economical, good place to dine if you're on a budget and tired of the Subways, etc., that dot nearly every corner downtown. But to die for, as most followers insist? No. It's no wonder that the Yat's in Chicago, Fishers aren't doing the numbers. Those locations are far away from the Goth-Mad Men crowd downtown and cannot count upon hipness, only quality, which simply isn't there. Better than the deceased J.Gumbo's? Sure. Better than Todd's 'Distillery? No. But it's America, where image is everything, so I expect they'll survive. They're what Alcapulco Joe's is to authentic Mexican. A popular pretender, popular being the key word.

Great cajun food!!! I don't think you will find a coupon or advertisment on this place. It's all word of mouth. I have to say this place gets high marks from for food, service, and price.

OMG I love this restaurant!! I was introduced to this great food around 2002 by brother, and I was hooked on the first bite. Even though I no longer live in Indy because I joined the army 7 years ago, When I go home on leave I make sure I stop there at least twice before I go back to my home station. My favorite dish is the Chili Cheese Etoffee. Talk about "to die for" that dish is so great and I always finish my plate even if I'm full I'm talking licking the plate clean finish. Oooo I can't wait to take leave this summer to get me some of that Chili!!!!!

This is a little restaurant with big taste offering a nice variety of Cajun dishes that will knock you socks off. Crowded at lunch time, so getting it to go is your best bet. But, it's worth the effort and a lot cheaper than flying to Cajun country!

They have the best cajun food you will likely find anywhere up north. Everything is a stew over rice, and the menu changes daily. Luckily they post the menu online, so you can check it out before you go. My personal favorites are the Jambalaya, B & B, Ropa Veija, Chili Cheese Etoufee, or the White Chili. So at least one of those ought to be availible on any given day. They also make a great peanut butter pie, and speaking of peanuts, on rare occasions they make a spicy peanut thai chicken dish that is out of this world.

Really Great mild Cajun Food at a reasonable price. Voted #1 best priced restaurant in Indy. A Must Try! I highly recommend YATS!

Not a bad dish in the restaurant. The food is wonderful, the service quick, and everything's very reasonably priced. I'm a Houston native, and it's a welcome taste from the bayous near home.
