I've never had better service in a restaurant than at Mo's! My family and I visited Indy for the 2007 USGP and we decided to go to Mo's for dinner after the race. Mo's is definitely high end and I felt a little embarrassed dining there in casual clothes! Nevertheless my family and I were treated like VIPs! Definitely a pricey restaurant but you get what you pay for. Many of the Formula 1 drivers dined at Mo's that weekend and I can see why... it's a first class steak house. I'll definitely dine at Mo's whenever I'm in Indy.
I travel for a living. I eat out a lot. Mo's is one of my favorite places anywhere. I tried St. Elmo's and Ruths, but Mo's is significantly better. I now eat here almost every week. The atmosphere is a little loud but that comes with the great décor. Jeremiah runs this place restaurant very well. The food is all wonderful. Ask for the 8 oz. filet “Lee Style” (peppercorn with a light blue cheese treatment). The sides are all excellent, especially the grilled asparagus and roasted potatoes. The blackened salmon is also very good. If you have a group of people try the ribs as an appetizer to share. The lobster bisque is the best I have had – try it with fresh ground pepper. Beyond the food though, the service is excellent. If you make a trip to the restroom, there will always be a fresh folded napkin waiting for you. Your water is kept full and the food comes EXACTLY as you ordered it. There is a lot more good to say about Mo’s than I care to write here. Mo’s has also become the celebrity center in Indy. Rashid and other Detroit Piston’s came in while we were dining this week. Try Mo’s and it will be your favorite Indy steakhouse.
Totally messed up are order Then proceeded to serve half the table, well the other people had to wait for there food. Payed a lot of money to watch people not know how to serve. Food was good. Will not eat there again if I am paying.
Don't mind what the first review on here said (ayg1982). They are totally wrong. Everything about this place is excellent! I have my steaks cooked medium well no matter what, and my steak was still very juicy and tender. They definitely get a great cut of meat at Mo's. As far as the service goes, it was exquisite. My manhattan and water glasses were never even close to empty when I was asked if I needed a refill or another Manhattan. The food was delicious and came very promptly, despite the fact that the place was absolutely packed due to the Big Ten Tournament being here in town the last time we were there. Every time we are there it is a wonderful experience. Highly recommend Mo's!!
To start out with the positives, the decor of the restaurant is beautiful, with high ceilings, large cherry wood columns and arched stained windows. The food is very tasteful and arrived in a timely fashion. However, all other aspects of the environment are very unpleasant especially for the menu prices. The piano music is everything but soothing as a result of the horrible percussion in the building which echoed the piano music, the conversation of the customers and the radio which was projecting from low clarity wall mounted speakers. The service was also disappointing.... Our waitress had a helper to assist her with our six person party, yet we were ignored for about fifteen minutes when trying to order our entrees in the non-crowded restaurant at 10:30pm. Our request to lower the radio music was rudely ignored, and we were wrongly informed of how our food was to be prepared. The staff held loud conversations and were not very welcoming. Unfortunately, the 18% gratuity was automatically taken into account on the bill so poor service still received a nice tip.
