I have read everyone else’s reviews and have found them similar to mine, mixed feelings. The atmosphere was very comfortable, nay spectacular, with maroon walls, modern wood paneling and throwback hanging lamps reminiscent of the 70’s that was set to the romantic level of luminescence. We arrived 15 minutes before our 6:00 p.m. reservation time and they accommodated us immediately. Our waitress was a true professional and exceptional in every respect, with complete knowledge of the food and the ability to make polite conversation without over-doing it. We were seated at a table that was in the middle of the dining room right next to the kitchen door, when there were booth tables available in a more private setting. The Beef Carrpaccio was exquisite and I would recommend it to any meat lover. The meat was buttery goodness with a light mayonnaise sauce and a hint of spice, served alongside crisp salad greens soaked in a oil based salad dressing and topped with parmesan cheese with elongated crisp croutons on the side. My wife ordered the 11oz filet mignon and it was very good, in fact it had extraordinary flavor that was rather uncharacteristic of filets and cooked to perfection. I ordered the cowboy rib-eye and found it a compete disappointment. The outside was charred beyond necessary and was not seasoned enough with salt and pepper. The butter was absolutely too rich and done to excess. I would guess that by plate contained close to three tablespoons of butter when only one tablespoon would have sufficed. The mashed potatoes were creamy, yet contained far too much garlic. My side of creamed spinach was wholly unremarkable and relatively flat tasting. Back to the high points of the meal, my wife’s bread pudding was delectable and could not possibly be improved upon. I was also impressed that they had Kobe beef filets on hand and wish I would have ordered it in lieu of the cowboy rib-eye. I would eat at this restaurant again but only if they reduced their prices by 25%, their steaks are good, but not as good as they would like to think they are.
