Little Mexico Restaurant
Irma and Ignacio Bravo lived in Chicago for 12 years. In 1991, they relocated to Crawfordsville, IN when the company they were working for, Atapco Industries, offered them both a transfer. While at the Crawfordsville company, Irma would pack Ignacioac2s lunch with authentic homemade Mexican food. Fellow co-workers would ask for samples often and were intrigued by the different flavors and delicious taste. Soon, Irma was cooking enough food for nearly everyone on the shift. Several co-workers encouraged them to open a local Mexican Restaurant as there wasnac2t one within 30 miles of the town. They knew there would be a significant cost and considerable risk involved in the endeavor. Since they didnac2t have substantial savings and area banks would not approve a loan for this venture, they asked family members for assistance. With the help of family and credit cards they were able to open the first Little Mexico.
My family and I came here to have a nice dinner about 4 months ago, what we got was a long wait for our dinner and basket after basket of chips. The waitress was like in another world, never letting us know where our food was. We got in with hardly a wait but when we sat at our table, we sat and sat and sat....After having chips and salsa for dinner we finally got our actual dinner... I liked the chips and salsa better! One good thing about this place is the decor, and the fact we got a discount on our meal for the long wait, so two good things. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
The people really make this place for me. Tuesday night is dollar taco night and half price margaritas. The employees are very friendly and funny. The owner is a real nice guy too and has sponsored my softball team twice this year! I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a good experience! Juan, you are doing a wonderful job man! Keep the staff and keep up the good work!
