Woody's Library Restaurant
Established in the spring of 1998, Woodys Library Restaurant is a unique bi-level establishment serving Sunday brunch, lunch & dinner. Locally owned by a husband & wife team, this independent eatery is perfect for those looking for a memorable & personal dining experience. The restaurant is a renovated Andrew Carnegie Library that was originally built in 1913. This historic landmark is located in Carmel's Arts & Design District.
I ate there fall 2008. Very poor quality. I would have returned my food, but I was with someone I did not really know very well. We had brunch. I would have rather had an Eggo Frozen waffle, it would have been better.
We ate upstairs today. We had eatten downstairs a lot previously. We were showed to a seat and since no one else was eating there I ask for a different booth. Ginger snapped my head off and said the whole resturant was booked and we had to sit back in the corner. While we ate one other party came in. They were ask if they had reservations and they said no. They ask for the booth I ask for and were immediately seated there. Only one other party came in the whole time we were there. I guess I was not blond and that was why I was treated so rudely. Oh by the way we were going to celebrate our anniversary. We will not be back.
Kids food is very expensive. Paying $6 for a kids grilled cheese sandwich THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE A SIDE is outrageous. A side of apples with caramel was $2 extra. Maybe that is their way of discouraging children at the restaurant!
Absolutely wonderful food!!!
(Good martinis too)
Nice bar with a really cool salt water fish tank.
Great outdoor patio which you can eat and/or sip drinks on while enjoying the weather.
A bit pricey for me personally, but you don't feel let down after you receive your food. It is well worth the money.
(Make sure you make reservations for Friday & Saturday, for they get pretty busy...)
Overall a neat place that I would most definitely go back to again & again & again.
