We drove down to Pomery to visit the Wildhorse cafe. Wonderful experience. We were served by Crystal, and she was great. There were 4 in our party and each ordered different items. Everything was excellent, especially the sweet potatoe fries and ribs. The service was above par and It was definitely worth the drive. Looking foward to a return trip with a group from church. Would make a very pleasant day trip outing.
They keep the Nacho Chips in a uncovered trash can behind the waitress station and have to lean over it using there hands to scoop chips out, to much traffic in this area for it to be uncovered.Good food but slow service waited half hour for food and there were only 5 other tables being severed. Waitress never came around to see if we needed anything after she took our order and had to ask the other waiter for more drinks. She was to busy watching a football game in a side room with other servers. Nice atmosphere, clean, and very large portions. This was my first time there and will try it again, hope to service is better next time.
The wild horse Cafe is the best place we have even eaten at and the food was really great and the service i counldn't of ask for any better. the waitress crystal was very good and prompt and should be commended for her service. she is a great waitress and was will worth the tip we gave her. will be coming back again and would like Crystal as our waitress.
The view of the river was great and we loved it.
Again we want to thank yous for a great meal.
The menu here has changed so many times it's hard to keep up with it. A few years ago they had amazing service and food. Though it is important to keep in mind, for those of you who have never been a waiter or waitress, it isn't the easiest of jobs. People tend to get cranky and are very rude if their service isn't perfect. You must also remember that waiters and waitress' in Ohio make less than 4 dollars an hour. The 18% tip is only added to parties of 6 or more because servers that get a party of 6 or more is automatically taken out of 'rotation' making that party and the tables they had before it their only tables. It is a frustrating when people don't tip or order their food nothing like it appears on the menu. Remember that the server is a person too, maybe he or she has been having a bad day. Servers are working for tips. May I also add that a $2 tip is not a good tip either! If you have the money to spend $50-$60 on a meal tip at least 18%. I will tell you if you leave a good tip, servers will remember you and fight over waiting on you and you will get great service because of your good tips. If you don't tip or leave terrible tips, count on bad service. Servers talk about the customers, if you've left a bad tip or no tip more than once you will get terrible service.
What a delightful afternoon lunch outside by the Big Ohio River!! What made it special was our waitress Crystal who was attentive, pleasant and checked on us often. There were 4 meals, all different..great santa fe hbg plata @ onion rings (crisp and not greasy) , steak sandwich @ mixed vegetables, reuben sandwich @ sweet potato fries and regular hbg @ house salad. The waitress apologized for the vegetables being just yellow squash @ onions as hubby was looking forward to true mixed vegetables..They were very greasy. We would make a suggestion that the sweet potato fries be more crispy and give customer a choice of no brown sugar. ****** for Crystal and **** for food...Try it...You'll like it!!!!
Well, each time we ride down on the motorcycles it's the main ride.
It was a Sat. we arrived at 12:40, we left at 3:00... It took them that long to wait on 15 people. The food was good when it finally came, after you fill up on chips waiting. They just can NOT handle more then a party of 4 people. Then they automatically charge a 18% tip fee on your bill. For waiting 2 1/2 hrs. to eat.?? I like the restaurant theme, view, and setting but the management needs to look into the kitchen or waiters and play staff work hrs. better. Every time I have went there with a group it has been the same.
I know it's not fast food, BUT when you have business you need to be ready to handle it. Or there will be no business.
We have been going to the Wild Horse since the day it opened. The food was good but the service could have always used some improvement. I don't know what has happened over the past year but both food and service needs improving. Yesterday was the worse its ever been. We waited so long on our food and when we got it the food was cold and burnt. There was five of us, the next table over which had six people sat down long after we did but got their food in no time. We love coming to the Wild Horse and yesterday was a big disappointment for us. We probably won't be back until we hear some improvements have been made.
