My husband's aunt knows the owners of this place ......so we have gone there over the years for ribs and it makes her feel important. My husband and I feel the place is over priced for what you get, the ribs are dry without much taste, and if you order anything else ( like fish) it is either over cooked or fishy tasting. You get a slab of ribs (entree)for 25.00 and everything else is extra. The potato is even burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside.Paying for the atmoshere? I'd would rather have a good meal.

The ribs I was served were the toughest I have ever had. I don't mean that they weren't falling off the bone tender, I mean shoe leather tough. The sauce was a very bland tomato sauce. It tasted like they poured it straight out of a Hunt's can and forgot to add any seasonings. It was also very overpriced. This is strictly a tourist trap. What a shame since it is in such a nice location with a great view.

You'll notice that the good reviews are all in years past! Went there last week and was highly disappointed! This is not like it used to be! The ribs were dry and not the fall-off the bone ribs that we used to get. They no longer cook the ribs at the restaurant - They're cooked at the Commissary and then just reheated when ordered. The saratoga chips were overcooked and the shrimp appetizer was undercooked. Used to love this place but not any more and will no longer recommend to all the out-of-towners that we have come in to meet with us!! The only good comment I have about the place is that the Waitress was excellent!

Went for a pickup last night before going to work. The woman at the counter placed my food in a "warmer". I will call it a dryer. The meat dried, was not as moist as it should have been. The sauce dried also. It tasted like it was microwaved. there was no reason for her to do this. I was there on time, but she decided to nuke my ribs and screw it up.

I feel sorry for the people of Cincinnati if you really think that BBQ suace is great. I eate there on Friday Jan. 8th and thought they put ketcup on my ribs. But no they said it was their World Famous sauce. Honest that is what it tasted like. I guess you need to come north into Cleveland or even farther south to get some real sauce.

While this place is an ok restaurant, it is not BBQ. The ribs are baked and covered with a very basic sauce. Those that like real BBQ will be disappointed. As for Bob Hope liking this place, who cares that some old man ordered the ribs. Old people loose their taste buds and tend to like bland food.

This restaurant is not what it cracked up to be. I've traveled all over the country and their ribs are nothing special. The ribs are average. I would have given them 3 stars for the ribes but I decided to give them 1 star because they only have valet parking. The restaurant is in an area of town where street parking is not allowed. They have a large parking lot and there is no purpose to the valet parking at all. Normally I see in some locations that valet parking is necessary if the valets have to park the car somewhere far away but in this case all they do is park in the same lot that you could have done yourself. The only purpose of the valet is to give an artificial appearance of this restaurante being high end. The valets were not careful with the cars and I saw a valet actually scrape somebodys car by parking off center in a space. They should really give you a choice to valet or not to valet. I have a policy of deducting 1 star for any hotel or restaurant that does not offer a choice to valet or not. I also deduct another star if I notice that the valets aren't careful with other people's cars. I would have given them 3 stars but the choice of valets and the lack of care in driving the cars caused this to be a 1 star review. PostScript: There are a number of rib places in New York, Ft. Wayne, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Jose, and Orlando that are a lot better than this. The so-called Saratoga Chips are just thick potatoe chips. The locals are crazy about this place but the best I can figure out is that many of them have not travelled out of state and see what else there is. For example there is a beautiful building in Covington, KY across the river called the Ascent designed by the Freedom Tower architect but most locals think it is ugly. Again these are the comments of people who are not well travelled and have not see much of the rest of the world.
