Swensons Drive in Office, Akron

Even though I no longer live in the Akron area, I still make sure to visit Swenson's when I visit my mom who lives close by. The burgers are like no others I've ever tasted. They are slightly sweet and have this amazing, unique flavor that keeps you remembering why you like to go there. It is a drive-in restaurant, the old fashioned kind, where they put the tray on your window. The nice thing is that they are also open during the winter so you can enjoy their burgers anytime.

FANTASTIC FOOD but some of the low paid workers seem to not care much about customer service when answering the phone for call ahead orders.

Swensons has been around lomger than me. Their burgers just have this taste that mixes with the cheese they use and I tell you, you will not be able to live with just one taste of their burgers.

I've been going to Swensons for almost 20 years and have never had a burger as good as theirs. Their Galleyboy is the ultimate!

I'm not breaking new ground with this review, but Swenson's by far has the best burgers in town. My mom assures me the onion rings and french fries are great, and my eight year old daughter loves the burgers, too. I've had several problems when ordering for pick up, but hey, that happens. Just make sure your order is right prior to leaving. I have only been to the Swenson's in the Wallhaven area and the one near my work in the 'hood, North Hill. I order the same thing every time: three triples with bacon and ketchup. Obviously, this is a rare treat for me. The staff is always incredibly nice and helpful, and the service seems quick if you wait for it rather than pre-order. Enjoy! Shalom, EJ Passeos

There really is no better place to get a burger and a milkshake. They have fast service and it really is one of the few drive- in restaurants that are still left.
