El Rincon Mexican Restaurant, Akron

bad service bad food I would not go there if it was free. got order wrong then argued and would not make it right. They have gone downhill in last 2 years.

Have 5 kids we love eating here! Great prices and those Taco salads are soooooooooooo good!!! Best deal on the menu!

One of my favorite restaurants. Great value for the money, good service, oh dont forget about the tasty salsa and chips.

My husband and I just ate at El Rincon tonight for dinner. I was not impressed at all. I had eaten there about 10 years ago and didn't like it too much. For the past 7 years, we had been living in Dallas Texas and moved back to Akron, so my husband and I wanted to find a decent Mexican restaurant like those in TX. The reason we wanted to give El Rincon another try was because a few months ago we read that the Akron Beacon Journal had rated it the #1 Mexican restaurant in Akron. In my opinion, I don't know why - what a waste of money. Sure, the food came out fast, I'll give them that, but my taquitos were burnt and I had to ask for a refill 3 times - the server basically ignored my husband and I. Also, I couldn't figure out why in the world all the servers were male - there was not one female server in the whole place. This place really isn't what it is all hyped up to be. My husband and I ate at El Puente a few months ago and they were much better than here. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone if you want good Mexican food or good service because you won't find either here.

Service was quick though they goofed up our order and the food was not as good as most revues make it out to be. Not really impressed!

El Rincon serves great-tasting authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices. The restaraunt is usually always busy but it is worth any wait you might experience to dine here. I have eaten here over 100 times and have tried most of the items on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. The wait staff is friendly, the food arrives quickly (for made to order meals), and believe me when I say you will not leave hungry! The fajitas and margaritas are fabulous, as are the homemade chips and salsa. This is not an upscale eatery - more like a family restaraunt - so dressing up is not expected. Do yourself a favor... if you like good Mexican food - not that Taco Bell garbage - try El Roncon! Located on S. Arlington just north of Waterloo Rd.

Of all the Mexican restaurants in town, El Rincon has the best beans and rice. I'm not sure how they season the beans, but they are spicy without being hot and smooth without being bland. The rice is like rice I had in Mexico - not like other restaurants where it tastes like rice from a school cafeteria.

A lo mejor, es el mejor restaurante mexicano en Akron. La gente es super bacan y agradable. Siempre las margaritas son superbuenisimas. En serio, ningun otro restaurante las preparan como este. Probaly, it is the best Mexican restaurant in Akron. The staff is awesome and friendly. The margaritas are really good and I don't think that there is any other restautant that prepares them as good as they do.
