MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR OVER 10 years! AND OMG WE LOVE IT HERE! IF YOU THINK PRICES ARE HIGH U SIMPLY NEED TO EAT AT TACO BELL THEN! THE AMOUNT OF FOOD YOU GET IS ENORMOUS !! I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EAT HERE!! LOVE IT! THANKS
I have been going to Hibachi for twenty some years and loved it. I think they are under new ownership because I was there last week with a friend from out of town and the cook was a young guy that tried to put on a show but kept dropping the utensils. Food was over cooked also. The server didn t know anything about the food or drinks and they were also out of the first 3 drinks that my friend ordered. I will go back once more, but they better be back to snuff.
I have never had a bad experience at Hibachi Japan. Delicious, very friendly staff. A little expensive, but you get a lot of food and it is definitely worth the price. I love going for special occasions. Advice: call in advance and get priority seating. The wait can be long, but I never mind waiting for something so good!
We just went to Hibachi Japan last night for dinner. We all ordered chicken which was cooked to a perfectly, tender and juicy. Our waiter was very friendly but I noticed we were not offered chopsticks like the table next to us. Are you supposed to ask for them? Our cook was fun & entertaining. He flipped a cooked shrimp right into the mouth of one of our dinner guests! The soup was simple and delicious. It seemed like the dinner salad was a little bigger than the last time we ate there? Dessert was pineapple sherbet which was very good, only complaint was that the waiter put the plastic wrapped fortune cookie right on top of the sherbet which is just a plain old germy thing to do and it made opening the cookie a sticky mess. The dinner prices appear high but you have to remember you're getting soup, salad, an entree and a dessert so its not really that bad when you divide the cost among all the food. I recommend it. If you're still uncertain try them out for lunch when the meals are less expensive.
Unfortunately that last person has NO idea what they're talking about. Hibachi doesn't even take an Entertainment card. It's OTANI'S (also located in Cuyahoga Falls) that does. Regarding HIBACHI -- I agree the portions have gotten smaller over the years. The food is delicious and you get 3 courses and dessert, but I only go on special occassions because for 2 people, you will not get out of there w/out at least a $40 - $50 tab MINIMUM...unless you go for lunch which is slightly cheaper.
Pretty good place to go eat IF you have your Akron ENTERTAINMENT BOOK card to get the discount because if you pay full price,it is NOT worth going here for. We have gone here for a few YEARS and watched the portion size get SMALLER and SMALLER while the prices have gone up.The lady whom seems to run this place and seats you is RUDE too but as I said IF you have the discount card to buy one meal and get one free it is o.k. but just order WATER to drink because they do NOT give you a free soda pop refill!
I'm a big fan of Japanese steak houses and this one is my favorite. The taste of all the food is just better than the others. I go here every year for my birthday with my whole family and it's also where I got engaged so I'm a big fan and would go there more often if it was closer to me.
We just had dinner at Hibachi Japan Steak House, and I must say, we were completely unimpressed. Drinks were not great and overpriced, our waiter was slow and our Hibachi chef was a dud. He did none of the traditional things that chefs do to entertain their guests and served us all at completely different times, most of us ended up eating cold food. I will most definitely not be going back to this place, I've been to MUCH better Hibachi restaurants.
We have gone to this restaurant twice and the FIRST time we had an AMAZING time. The chef was awesome and did really cool things. This past time, we went for our friends birthday-party of six. I was not very hungry but I did want to order some sushi. I told the waitress I wanted the volcano roll. She then told me that I had to order an entree. I told her that I did not want an entree and that the sushi was fine and I might have a couple bites off my husband's place. She then told me that it was their policy that I had to spend at least $12!!! I was absolutley was appalled that you would MAKE someone order more food if they do not want it; ESPECIALLY with a party of six with whom everyone was drinking. Needless to say, the sushi was awesome that I ordered and I still ate off my husband's plate. We told her chef that it was a birthday and to do some cool things and unfortunatly he did not. It was just your basic hibachi. We will probably not come back here, but will be wiser with our choice of restaurant and go to Wasabi in Montrose or find another place that offers hibachi with good sushi.
