My wife and I had dinner at Moxie last week. The food quality was superior and the server and manager were very attentive. We continue to visit Moxie at least once a month as a 'special occcasion' as we are treated royaly! Job well done by all on staff!
My wife and I tried Moxie last night after reading great things about it. All in all it was an extremely disappointing experience. While the food was okay.. albeit overpriced...the service was awful. Neighboring tables complained to the management as well, and unbelievably, the service grew worse. We dine out frequently, and were shocked at the delay in service. We waited unusually long for order, drinks, food, dessert and check. Our server was never to be seen (we think she was working on the patio too) while we sat and the rest of the staff and 3 managers ignored us. In the end they gave us the wrong credit card back and took another 10 minutes to resolve before coming back with corrected cards but wrong receipts. No refills while we waited, no acknowledgment, nothing. Just terrible. When we left we drove around the restaurant and saw the server smoking in the parking lot. Our bill for two was $140 and possibly the worst service we've ever had. This is not fine dining and we will not be going back.
Like they always say don't judge a book by its cover..My exprience at the Moxie did not meet up to my expectations..U expect glamour prestige and sophisication and of course the atmosphere gave off those feelings but I felt the food was not up to par for the price 63.00 bucks for lunch for me and a friend and I felt it was not worth the drive or the price dahling
The Blue Crab Mac N Cheese had one thread of blue crab in it..
