Flannery's Irish Pub is a massive Irish-American pub in downtown Cleveland capable of serving over a hundred customers at a time. They have a wide range of beers on draft including, of course, Guiness, and several Guiness mixes like Black & Tans with Bass or Black Velvet with ciderall served in larger 20oz Imperial pints. Their dinner features specifically Irish entrees like Fish and Chips or Chicken Cottage Pie, but it also includes more general fare, like New York Strip Steak or Chicken Fettucine. Flannery's also serves a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps and burgers. Vegetarians can try their Grilled Portabella sandwich or a Fresh Spinach sandwich. Flannery's also has live music on Friday and Saturday nights. - Marjorie Jensen
hey - i am irish-american and so is this bar! it is in Cleveland not Dublin so of course it is not authentic! duh! it is however great atmosphere, good food, good service and a great place to chill and drink good beer with good friends (or strangers as the case may be!) LOL! no - kidding though best bar in downtown Cleveland for me - a good stop whenever you happen by!
on a side note - watched the american team play the world cup there as well - skipped out of work one day for the morning and had breakfast and a great time - too much fun!
My wife and I happened upon Flannery's by accident this past weekend. We had dinner and stayed around for the music, Irish music by The New Barleycorns. Everything was fantastic - including the friendly waitresses and bartenders. The menu was varied and the food was very good. And the Guiness, of course, was superb!!! It had the friendly atmosphere of an authentic Irish pub - which, in fact, it is!! It is the perfect blend of a restaurant and bar, with good food and plenty of drink as well. The band was a blast and has a loyal following which adds to their sometimes raucous and just-slightly-bawdy nature. I would not hesitate to recommend Flannery's to anyone and can't wait to go back the next time I am in Cleveland.
