Bad experience. We had reservations but had to stand in the bar for 15 mins. Once seated, the server did not come to our table for 10 mins. He came then did not introduce himself or apologize for the wait. Between ordering drinks/food was a 10 min wait each time. Three times dirty plates were brought and had to be ask for a clean plate each time with no apology. Food was below average especially for the price. We felt very unwelcomed by the establishment as we saw our waiter being friendly and smiling with his other tables. We talked to a manager about our experience he said he would take care of the bill so we left. I then get a rude call telling me that we walked out on our bill and demanded that I call back with my credit card number he explained that he did not clarify that only a few items were taken off the bill. Overall, horrible service, below average food, bad communication and disrespectful treatment of customers. Will not be returning.
If you want to impress with excellent food, this is the place, I would recommend making a reservation. Setting is so so. wide open.
The restrooms are in an odd area, cocktails are fabulously made to perfection such as the appetizers. You could pull off casual wear here. Not a real dressy atmosphere as most would suspect. Easy delight after a golf game, basically a chillaxing gig
The food at Players was very good and I can't say enough good things about the staff. I have a nut allergy and our waiter went out of his way to make sure nothing that I ordered had nuts on it.
A very nice restaurant and a relaxed atmosphere as well! Two thumbs up from me!
Love this place. Prices are very fair for what they give you, and what they give you is good!! Pizza? Try the Danilo!! Or create your own using their long list of toppings. They have the best Mac and Cheese. The staff is very friendly and they know their stuff. They also do wine dinners, which are reasonably priced. Chef Tony does an amazing job of matching food to the wines. If you want a nice dinner w/o the stuffy atmosphere, try Player's.
This place tries really hard to make an average restaurant with a good cook into a place for a classy date. It mostly succeeds (despite some tacky decor), but Creative Cafes (the greater company) is really obviously a front for organized crime. Try the dessert Coffee and Donuts, its an A+!
Our greeting and the hostess was very nice. When we sat down we had a feeling that our waitress might be clueless. She had to check with someone for every question we had. Furthermore - she must have been too busy chit chatting because the appetizers were cold. And so were our meals. The wine questions we had - were unanswered because she knew nothing about any wine but one. What the heck? Where is the training? The entree's came and one persons lamb was perfectly cold and pink - not at all medium as it was ordered. It took 10 minutes for us to flag someone down to send it back. And of course, that someone was not our waitress but a random waiter we waved to across the room. There were no apologies for the wrongly cooked lamb and it came back out - cooked a little more - but yet again - it was cold. And everyone at the table was finished with their meal. She never heard of whiskies that we asked about and finally - Players boast the wine over $40 gets you a $20 gift certificate. Of course - we never received ours. Clueless and awful, it had been a long time since going there and there is no reason to go back to overpriced food and wine. And the tp was included - we were a party of 6 and she did not deserved the healty tip she gave herself. She visited our table far too little. Wake up Players. Your run is over.
Players is our favorite in Lakewood. They offer italian dishes like gourmet pizza and create your own pasta- but also have fish, meat and other dishes.
This summer they opened a patio for outdoor dining. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Anothe tip, they also offer a discount for carry out orders.
