Barcelona, Columbus

The atmosphere is great. Our waiter, Mara, was very pleasant and attentive. However, the food was not so good. We ordered a tapas that was nothing but fried potato cubes with a spoonful of some kind of mayo on top. (bleh) I had the swordfish w/ sundried tomato risotto which tasted like a filet of salt on top of some mushy salt. My fiance's lamb was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. I'll pass on Barcelona.

Top Dollar Mediocrity - Rude Manager! We were in the area on a Sunday evening and decided to have dinner at Barcelona. Some time ago I purchased a gift certificate through Resteraunt.com so that was added incentive to try Barcelona. We started with some wine and a small hummus appetizer. The appetizer was great but things went sharply south from there. We had just gotten the appetizer and felt we were being rushed to place our dinner order before we could enjoy our first bite. I ordered the Braised Lamb Shank and my wife ordered the Paella Barcelona. When we received our order, we were both very disappointed with our meals. My lamb shank had some awful flavored mayonnaise that just killed all other flavor. All I could taste is mayo. What self-respecting chef pours mayo all over a meal? My wife’s meal was not much better. It was full of grease and several mussels were spoiled which added a nice touch. Needless to say we were both very disappointed with our meals. When we received the check, I told the waitress I had a gift certificate number from Restarant.com. She told me that they could not just take the number like every other restaurant in Columbus; they required that the number be printed on paper before they could honor it. I asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came she was very rude. She claimed that they never call the certificates into Restaurant.com and they need the certificate number on the physical printed paper in order to honor it. When I mentioned that it does not say this anywhere on the certificate itself, she told me that she could not do anything further. We paid our $100.00 tab and will never be back to Barcelona.

Excellent, consistently stunning local eatery that offers really great eats at a fair price. Innnovative and classic selections make for a great night no matter what the occasion or preference. Professional servers and a truly unique decor equal a complete home run!

This is probably my most favorite restaurant in Columbus. Excellent all the way around -- always.

The food was good, but not for the price. The atmosphere was great. It's worth trying out for a very special occasion, but not to go often/regularly.

Still one of my favorites after all these years. Great decor, great bar, great patio, and excellent food.

We have dined here several times, once with a small child who has food allergies and each time we were treated with personalized service and delicably food! We enjoy the staff, ambiance and experience. The patio is our favorite spot in this neighborhood
