My wife and I have been to the Stone Hearth Three times and i can not say enough how wounderful it was each time. Perfect food, perfect service from Danny. Is the perfect place for a relaxing take your time romantic dinner.
Went to Stone Hearth today for Fathers Day Buffet. Expected it to be fairly nice at $21.00 per person, but was very disappointed. Pretty much same food items as normal Sunday Buffet, just jacked the price for the holiday. Salad Bar was great as ususal, but hot items were way below par. Most of the hot items were not hot and were actually cool. Roast beef tasted pre-prepared, ribs were all bone, mashed potatoes tasted instant, green beans were OK, but cool. Overall experience was not a good one especially for the jacked up price. This place has really gone down in my opinion in the past year or so. Prices are up and quality is slipping! Not the same place without Alyce Skees in charge.
Mediocre at best. I went with a large group and only had two on-tray choices.
I got the fish which was dry and over cooked. Maybe on a smaller scale it is better, but
for the price I will probably not give it another try.
I was excited to go to this restaurant based on the online reviews and the lack of Mom and Pop restaurants in Elizabethtown. Bottom line: it was mediocre. Perhaps it was an off night (Wednesday). I ordered Salmon. It was good, but the rice that came with it was horrible. It was topped off with a mushroom that was so overcooked or had been around for so long it was black. Salad bar was fine and the onion soup was good. Rolls were great. Prices were good. Sevice a hair slow. They have to do something about the music--it ranged from 1920-1940's swing. We aren't all that hard to please, but the reviews build this place up a little bit too much. We're going to give it one more shot on their Sunday buffet. We'll see how it goes.
My husband and I had a lovely lunch at Stone Hearth on Sunday, the food was amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. They also had us a Grandparent's gift for the day....nice touch. We always look forward to our trips there.
We have dined at the Stone Hearth over the years and it just seems to get better and better. It is hard to find a locally owned restaurant that can provide this kind of quality for such a reasonable price. We especially love the soup and salad bar and the desserts and the superb service.
This place is an excellent dining experience! For the area, good service, great food, and an uncrowded atomosphere are hard to find due to the influx of the typical Applebees, O'Charlies, TGIF type of restaurants that flood the surrounding town. Definitely a nice place to go out on a date! Good Steak too!
