Riverside used to be good with previous owner but they have gotten stingy with the food and charge higher prices. food average, service average, price average. They also have this karaoke which they try to promote, not into it. Asiana in West Chester much better.
This is a place I will not go again. Of course, korean food is delicious, I used to go to Korean restaurants more than 10 times a year, and riverside restaurant is definitely the worst one I have been to.
My friends and I went there for our trip and order 4 dinners menu. As usual, we should get 8 small dishes as sides for each one. That means 32 dishes in total. But the fact is the whole table only get 8 dishes in total, and they charge 2.25 dollars for extra small dish and 1.25 for a small bowl of rice.
My friend and I ordered grilled beef and pork respectively. That is 17 dollars per order. So what is the result? 17 dollars equals 5 small pieces of beef or pork, and a small bowl of rice. That's it!!!!!
The amount is one third of other Korean restaurants. This riverside restaurant could only survive thanks to no other korean food around.
Dont go there, if u have been to any authentic korean restaurant before, this riverside restaurant is the last one you want to go.
This restaurant has an uber-authentic ambience if you are looking for that Korea-style shik-dang dining experience without leaving the tri-state area.
The food is great altho grilling our own galbi at the table didn't work out so well since they don't have the overhead vents. Otherwise, wonderful!
Riversid used to be the best Korean restaurant I've ever ate at. The ownership switched and it's just OK now. I've been to Korea a couple times and had Korean in LA, Chicago, etc. Riverside used to blow them all away. Last time we went there it was so so and the new owners have an attitude. Hit Asiana in West Chester, much better and way more friendly.
Probably one of the Cincinnati area's most under-estimated restaurants, and one of its dining jewels. Amazing authentic cusine that is probably one of the top dining experiences in the metro area. I had a pork dish that was excellent and spicy; you know that good kind of pain.
Great food. Great price. Authentic. Nice flavors. Get a booth, there are only 5 otherwise, seating is traditional on mats on the floor. The pancake ( Vegy one) are really good. Rice noodles. The barbeque pork, all good. The room is too bright ( like a Denny's restuarant) but the food comes out sizzling. Lots of Korean customers. You will overact because the flavors are so good.
