Ramsey's has wonderful food the Zucchini Burgers and the Yogi Chicken Chef Salad are the best dishes I have eaten there with everyone telling me the catfish is sublime. The decor is simplistic and slightly rustic in a sort of homespun way. The drinks are good!!! The Pies are wonderful!!!

Great neighborhood hangout with solid southern cooking. Reasonable prices, friendly service. Can be a bit noisy when crowded.

Best burger in town!!!! You have gotta try it. I was a waitress there years ago but I still love to eat at Ramsey's when I am in town.

Frank from NYC needs to go back to NYC. Ramsey's is an icon of southern food and southern hospitality. The open bar within the sitting area is one of the things that makes it so great. Depressing? Frank is depressing. Don't listen to him, go to Ramseys and have the hot brown!

Coming from me (live in NYC area); compared to everywhere else in lexington, this is probably the safest restaurant I ate at. Decent & good home cooked meals. Not great, but decent. I had the zucchini burger which was interesting. Place was a little gloomy and depressing inside. I didn't like the fact there was an open bar within the sit-down area. A lot of strange old men acting like perverts.

Good Food - Nice People
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/07
Ahh.. Ramsey's, a great restuarant for someone who grew up with a mom who knew how to whip up good, old fashioned, stick-to-your-ribs food. Amoung other great dishes, they make great fried fish, either southern or cajun, that WILL NOT leave you hungry. They also serve Missy's pies, each piece is 1/4 of a pie, so make sure you're hungry or get a to-go box. Oh yea, almost forgot, the wait staff is friendly, efficient, and usually young college girls, if you're into that sort of thing.

Good southern eats

I like Ramsey's when I have a hankering for comfort food. It's a tight little diner near campus. They change the menu a lot, so there's always something new. I have knocked out a few hot browns in my day, and Ramsey's is among the best I've had. They cook corn correctly. That's uncommon and appreciated. One thing about this place is how cramped it is. I wouldn't say I'm claustrophobic by any means, but Ramsey's is a little too close for my comfort. It's tight seating like you might find in New York or New Orleans. If you want some corn, green beans with bacon, collards, meatloaf, turkey and dressing ... this is the place in Lexington.

Always a great experience!
By Donald Stone, 9/8/06
The building is old Lexington. The tables are grandmothers....and so is the food. Therein lies it's secret...food made the way your grandmother would make it....hot ....good...and lots of it. You can get fried green tomatos...chicken livers...even had a grand serving of corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day. Salads large enough to be a meal for two...delightful menu items that you won't find at most places. Country fried steak...meat loaf...pork chops in their own special sauce...yum. Enough said.
