My husband and I went to Lil Ray's because I wanted crawfish.
We ordered buffalo wings for an appetizer, I ordered a 3 lb. platter
of crawfish, and my husband ordered a cheeseburger po boy. The
crawfish was not fresh, it tasted like day old or even longer; they
were soggy, not firm. The taste was average, not spicy enough
for my taste. It came without potatoes nor corn. The wings were
not the best neither; they were lightly battered and very small. The
taste was inferior as compared to Chili's, Beef O'Brady's, Shady's,
and Hooters. The burger in the cheeseburger po boy was very thin;
however, the tastes was good. I'm just glad I didn't get sick after
eating such horrible crawfish!!! We can not recommend this restaurant
to any of our co workers nor friends, sorry !!!
The food wasn't bad, but the portions were very small and the prices were high.
The seafood platter for $16 didn't fill the plate despite the dinner salad taking up a portion of it. We laughed because the very small salad looked like it was served in a condiment bowl. The catfish platter for $14 had one small fillet of about 5 or 6 ounces. The po boys were about half the size of the ones we recently had at the Blow Fly Inn nearby and weren't nearly as tasty.
The Mahi sandwich was good and the battered and fried green beans were very good. Our waitress was friendly and the service was quick and attentive - probably due to the fact that we were one of only two groups in the restaurant at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening.
Not a horrible place, but there was nothing that would ever entice me to go back.
