Jacques Cafe in the Park, Vicksburg

I hate to disagree with everyone....I barely gave this place 2 stars. Was really looking forward to eating there after the rave reviews. The atmosphere was bad - dirty chairs, carpet needs a good shampoo. The food was NOT good. Chicken marsala recommended by the waitress (who later spilled my water on the table, didn't clean it up or offer to get me a dry table, and abandoned me after serving the entree) was almost inedible. Canned mushrooms and sauce, I think. The only reason I did not give one star is that the entree was not undercooked. Asked for a second cocktail and never got it. At least it wasn't overpriced I work in Vicksburg and I will never go back here.

absolutely love this restaurant. the beef tenderloin medalions with lump crab meat are melt in your mouth delicious. am not a huge fan of bread pudding, but this one is wonderful. prices are reasonable and the service is excellent, a trip back in time. would definately recommend and i dine there anytime i am remotely close. you are missing out if you don't go.

One of our favorite restaurants to visit! Food and service are great.We make it a point to have dinner there when passing through Vickesburg on our way to the gulf! My Husband loves the stuffed mushrooms!!!

Great food, great service. Jacques and Jay are surperb chefs! This restaurant is a must visit. It's too bad I live in New York so I can't enjoy the food of my childhood on a daily basis!
