My husband and I stopped at this restaurant after a 10 hour drive from eastern Tennesee. It was late in the evening and honestly we just stumbled onto it by chance. What a delight! The food was excellent, the service was wonderful and the place was spotless. This is a MUST if you are travelling and really want the flavor of MIssissippi and southern hospitality. A great family restaurant.. and you HAVE to try the battered fries!
We asked our hotel desk staff what was the best “Mississippi” food for lunch and she recommended Rowdy’s. Good call. It was very good. The catfish was amazing – crisp, not greasy. The greens and all of the sides were great. It’s a good taste of Vicksburg.
Food was good. Awesome black-eyed peas and fried fish. Good hamburger steak. Didn't like the cornbread (too much soda) or the mud-pie (rum taste?)Good place to take kids with many items for them to choose from and interesting decor for them to observe (taxidermied animals). Service was good, but slow on drink refills. Floors seemed dirty. Overall a good family dining experience at a fair price.
