I grew up in Jackson but have lived elsewhere for almost 20 years now. I just so happened to be back there during Father's Day, and the family wanted to treat me to lunch, so my Mom suggested Two Sisters. I am STILL thinking about that place! I haven't found anyplace in TX that comes close. The food was terrific! It was definitely home-cooked style, not the pre-made type from a food service company. The country fried steak was so tender, I didn't even need a knife. Not only is it smothered in gravy, it's cooked in it too (that's why it's so tender). And there was plenty of white meat chicken on the buffet. There were plenty of vegetable offerings as well, so you're bound to find something you like. It gets a little crowded in the front room with the waitress stand and buffet line there, but hey, this is the South y'all, where folks are friendly so you don't mind standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them. So what if the place is in an old house - I prefer the genuine atmosphere over the stale, manufactured "character" you find in most eateries nowdays. I'm going back to Two Sisters every chance I get!
