This is an awesome place on Beale to visit. The bands kick ass and are really really good. Food is awesome here the menu is full of goodies. The thing that makes this place shine is the specialty drinks like the MOJO!! Man their specialty drinks are awesome and come is really cool glasses that you can buy. Food is great and the service is good.
The best dang place to eat on Beale Street in my opinion. Great gumbo, wonderful fresh salads, amazing steak and the mixed drinks are new, different and very good. They have "Real" bands playing here, because they have the money to bring in some of the best of the best musicians around the area and over the U.S. No cheap garage bands here only professionals and also great food!!
Maybe I dealt with this place on a bad night or with the wrong staff members but I was not impressed by this place at all and that is disappointing to have to say.
The first problem was the staff, upon entering they were too busy chatting to focus on customer service. It was so bad that I ended up taking a menu off the counter having to ask the person to move her arm so I could get to it. After I had started to walk away to seat myself the SAME girl ended revealing herself to be part of the wait staff; I couldn't believe it. There was no greeting, no acknowledgement of me, or service until that point.
The food was another disappointment; I'll admit that the BBQ RIBS were fantastic in the "taste" category BUT the food was delivered near COLD and the cornbread was subpar.
I also didn't care for the handyman in the restroom. I honestly cannot understand such a thing; I don't need help using the restroom & cleaning up afterwards. Last thing I want to do is tip someone for something I can do on my own quite well.
The ONLY thing I'll give BB King's is the MUSIC...the band that was there was great! The staff could use better training in the welcoming and in the exiting department (the waitress made the "cashing out" process confusing which is odd given how easy it usually is)!
What a great experience. Had the pleasure of watching the Will Tucker band perform. A great young talent with a superb band. The staff were professional and personable. I felt like more than just a customer and recommend this as THE premier stop for everyone going to Beale Steet in Memphis. Saw several families with young children sharing the oppertunity to see and feel the blues at the Kings house. I hope more families do the same.
Had a good time with my daughter at BB's! We had the sampler platter with fried pickles, ribs, hot wings, & potatoe skins. DELICIOUS! The ribs fell off the bone. The waiter wasnt very attentive but the rest of the atmosphere made up for it. The music was great too! The House band played. The door guy T-Baby was great! Will go again next time I am in Memphis.
"It Ain't Snowing In Memphis"
Looking out the window.
Feeling cold inside.
It ain't snowing in Memphis.
Chilling to the bone.
Baby by my side.
It ain't snowing in Memphis.
How I wish I were in Memphis.
Walking down Beale St.
Sipping on a Coke.
Hearing BB sing the Blues.
Cause it ain't snowing in Memphis.
Cause it ain't snowing in Memphis.
This place gets a 10 from me! I absolutely love the atmosphere and the service is great! I love the King Beez! The food is delicious! The ribs were so tender you could cut them with your finger. This is where I'll be every Friday for happy hour. Great music and food. Friendly service, even in the restrooms! You can't beat it!
Quintessential Memphis! Good food, good drinks, and GREAT (but loud) music. One of the more authentic blues clubs in town and one of the best bars on Beale!
bb kings has been known for it's great music , but what people who do not live in the south don't know is the amazing food that they serve, so it's is a win win great music and great food
