Chez Philippe - Peabody Hotel Memphis, Memphis

The best restaurant in Memphis. Best food and best service. Great looking place as well!

Well my wife and went to Chez Philippe and both ordered a 5 course meal, both of us picking different items. Each of us had the same results as far as food goes. 1 course was exceptional 2 were very good, 1 course was ok, and one course was just bad. Presentation at Chez Philippe is overblown, but that is part of the charm of the place, and the ambiance is amazing. If they could make the food better It would be a home run. Personally if you are looking for fine dining in memphis Earling Jensen is where you need to go.

Well the decor and service are absolutely amazing. The food is very good (I think Mcewen's and Lolo's Table on Monroe have better food though). I would give the food 4 stars, but the overall experience is definitely a 5 star experience and recommended, but it is not going to be an inexpensive experience. Two for dinner with wine can easily run 300 bucks by the time you factor in a reasonable tip for the awesome service.

We had tea at Chez Phillippe. Everything was excellent and our experience went very well. The servers were very friendly and attentive. For one price, you get all of the tea you want, sandwiches, and desserts. It was an excellent way to spend an afternoon.

Went for our annual trip to visit our son and returned to Chez Phillippe. The new Chef is firmly in control now with a new menu that is still very French in its approach but with some really interesting Asian and Latin touches that made every dish a new experience. There were five of at dinner all who ordered something different, and there was not a single disappointment. The tasting menu is definitely the way to go; it was an excellent deal for what we got. The pumpkin flan is really a keeper! Thought it was one the three best meals I ever had.
