Molly Gonzales' LA Casita, Memphis

Great food. Best Wings I have ever had. Also the Pan fried Red Snapper is awesome!! The staff is always friendly and the environment is really cool!

My nephew, his two daughters (ages 2 and 4), and I eat at Molly's fairly regularly. If there is better Mexican food in Memphis, we haven't found it. Combine an excellent meal with attentive, friendly service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, and you have the makings for a dining experience that one wants to repeat... often. And we do. Being vegetarians sometimes makes it difficult to find a good meal in Memphis, with its BBQ culture. However, having tried a number of Molly's wonderful vegetarian dishes, we have yet to be disappointed.

my husband and i went to memphis on our first date. we ate at molly's and it was wonderful... Then we went and got our ver first tattoos together! we married 1 year and 1 week later! we love each other and we love memphis! this april it will be 8 years since our first visit. we are from dyersburg which is about 1 1/2 hours away. We have been to m-town probably every 2 months since then and we always eat at molly's... It's a wonderful place. ( it is in gay town tho. hahaha.)

I went here for my birthday in March of 2007 on a co workers recommendation. I'm from So-Cal where I can get awesome mexican food 24-7. So I had somewhat high expectations of this place when my co workers talked it up like it was the most incredible mexican food ever. The service was awful - I had to get up to find our waiter just to get our drink orders in. After stuffing my face with crappy tortilla chips I realized we had been waiting for our food for about 40 minutes. Finally it came out - cold and swimming in grease. Ordered the Chorizo dip, which was basically a pound of cheese and store bought chorizo sausage links. My carne asada was basically 5 bites of meat and a ton of onions and bell peppers. We all left feeling like we just ate a ton of taco bell. If you don't know what REAL mexican food is then this would be great - but for everyone else, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Excellent margaritas, wings, shrimp, and tamales. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. The waitress and bartender made sure we received everything we needed and more.

The food actuallly tastes like real authentic Mexican food. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. The owner tries to please and make all guest comfortable.

I really like the chargrilled chicken fajitas and their 7 layer dip is too wonderful. I have not had any dish there I did not truly love!
