Litton's Market & Restaurant, Knoxville

Do not know what all the fuss is about Litton's? You get an average tasting burger for a full price. Would much rather go to Scotts Place on Asheville Hwy and get a HUGE and GREAT tasting burger for half the price.

My family visited Litton's as part of a very large group. There were 30 of us in all for a Saturday afternoon lunch. Making matters worse, we called Litton's on the way there to let them know. They didn't have days to prepare for our large group. At max, they had about half an hour. Even with the short notice, nothing could have run smoother. We were seated together in a back room. The servers were top notch. Food was served at relatively the same time and it was hot when it arrived. Refills were prompt. Food quality was excellent. We'll definitely be back to Litton's Restaurant. Only next time, it'll be 2 of us instead of 30.

What a great place to eat, and the food is so good!

Yum! I have been eating at Litton's for many years, but it seems I rarely get anything new. I always get the chili dog (best anywhere), sometimes get the grilled pimento cheese or Roadrunner (burger with pimento cheese), and never fail to get onion rings. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Oh, and the service is great, too!

If you want a good burger Litton's is the place for you! They have great food period! The homemade desserts are to die for! This place is somewhere you have to stop if you are visiting! The staff is friendly and the service is great. Be prepared for a wait, but it is well worth it!!!

Litton's has developed a reputation that no burger joint could ever live up to. The burger was above average, but in the end, it was just a burger. Included in the high price is the establishment's largely undeserved reputation. While the burger that I consumed was above average, there are several other places that I would rather eat a burger in Knoxville for a much more affordable rate, and without a forty minute wait.

We loved it! Great food and great service. We travel a lot and eat at a lot of places, but this place makes me want to come back again and again.

I think that the burgers are good but what I really go to Litton's for is the desserts. You must try the red velevet cake and the italian cream cake..they are to die for! In my opinion, the best that I have ever had. It may seem a little pricey but the taste and experience is well worth it. It is also a treat to go to an independently owned restaurant and know that the owner really does care about my experience. I have only one word...yummy!

Went during lunch on a Monday. Had tried once before but didn't want to wait. Was seated promptly at counter, which I think is a good thing to have at a lunch restaurant. Ordered the burger platter, quality was good, but overated, certainly above fast food joint, but not worth the bill or the hype. I personally liked the fries, and the portions were generous. Did not order dessert, but they looked great. $12 for lunch (including tip) was a little high burger and fries and soda. Service was quick and polite. Benefit to sitting at counter was seeing other menu items. Chicken salad looked great, and the grilled chicken sandwiches might be a well kept secret. The chili dog looked to be a better value than the burger. They need to get prices under control. Value versus long wait is debatable. Will try again since any local owned restaurant deserves a chance against the chains.

We had lunch at Litton's on November 14th. Loved the original atmosphere and service was very good also. The burgers were very good, but a little dry. Maybe the meat should have a little more fat content to make them juicier. Side dishes were excellent - slaw, ff's and rings. Red velvet cake was also very good. We've had better burgers, but would return next time we are in Knoxville.
