Sunspot Restaurant, Knoxville

I am always on the lookout for eclectic and veg friendly restaurants particularly if the reviews are good :). I usually do take out and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered their Solar Burger- big in size and spunky in flavor. It comes with an amazing list of side items and I went for the soup du jour- a Mushroom/Miso/Tofu soup- which I thought would be miso thin but I was surprise again by the amount of mushrooms and such an amazing buttery rich flavor with pieces of tofu. I want more! Rounding off with the Fried Green tomatoes (with goat cheese- really? Really!! Only thing needed is a little salt) I must say- for Take Out this joint on the main drag of University of Tenn- has left me wanting more. Amazing job Sunspot! When in town again- I will make sure to stay and eat in!

Sunspot is great - really yummy food. Try the artichoke picatta - amazing.

Sunspot is definitely the best restaurant in knoxville, especially for health concious people such as myself. Their Solar Flare (veggie burger) is, i think, the best thing i've ever put in my mouth. The atmosphere is cool too, although sometimes the pastel yellow wall does make me want to shoot myself, especially if i've been waiting a particularly long time for my food... Other than that though, there is absolutely nothing to possibly complain about. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious, the people are nice, and the location (on the strip) is great. I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.
