We took a trip from Dayton, Ohio to Knoxville, TN this past weekend and had to stop at the Pizza Palace. We learned about it from its appearance on Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives a while back, and since we were in the area, we wanted to try it out. Everything you saw on that show (if you watched, it's available on youtube) is correct! Friendly service from placing the order on the phone, to the greetings at the drive up box, to the delivery to your car window. Such a great value as well, our family of 5 ate comfortably for $24 on a large pizza, and an order of onion rings! Huge pile of onion rings, excellent taste all around, and definitely worth the 20 minute drive from our hotel. If you have the ability to eat here once, or twice, or everyday, do it. If you are going, take cash, they do not take debit/credit. They were courteous enough to tell us over the phone prior to us getting there. Great experience, we will go back!

I like in East Knoxville and I visit the Pizza Palace at least 3 to 4 times a month. I have yet to eat something I didn't enjoy from there. It is my favorite place in town for spaghetti and is in the top 5 for burgers. Onion rings orders are so big they actually sell 1/2 orders because some can't finish a full order. Portions are HUGE, you will not leave hungry! Friendly folks own it, work it and cook it! Great local restaurant that beats cookie cutter restaurants hands down. If you want to support local folks eat local foods. I would rather see my money support locally owned business than national chains.

Pizza Palace has the absolute best spaghetti in Tennessee. Their chef salad is also delicious, but I've never tried their pizza. I would assume it's good also, but I love the spaghetti so much I've never gotten around to trying the pizza (which they named the place for).

Once upon a time I used to know someone who lived in Knoxville who would bring me Spaghetti from the Pizza Palace. To this day I crave Pizza Palace spaghetti. Their spaghetti is the most fabulous Italian food I've ever had in my life. It is absolutely incredible and I have never found anything else like it anywhere. If you live anywhere near Knoxville and you haven't tried this place, go now. Make a special trip, I promise you it is worth it.

Make this a Must Visit Place in Knoxville
By Deb, 9/5/06
Great food, great price, excellent service... you're missing out on one of the best eats in town if you don't eat at least once at Pizza Palace. I'm a great fan of the Greek Salad and their feta pizza. Best thin crust ever! Also the ravioli is great! And best of all it's a drive in, carry out and friendly place.

I drive from West Knoxville...
By KnoxvilleWag, 8/17/06
There's only one Pizza Palace. My father tells me that it was one of the first (if not the first) pizza restaurant in Knoxville. It is still a pure drive-in, and I think some of the same people work there as did when I was a kid. I love the freshly made pizza and onion rings!
