Such great people, i visited recently and had no idea that they only accepted cash. To my surprise the owner told me to enjoy my meal and mail in the check. I went back the following weekend and settled up. That truly is the heart of the people that own such a great place to eat.

I love this place. The Middle Eastern food is divine and, I think, beyond reproach. The building is a little dark, but the place definitely has it's own character. I find Mo and his wife charming, hospitable, and eager to make my tummy happy.

If you're smart enough and wordly enough to realize every meal doesn't have to involve a slab of meat, then you just might like King Tut's Grill. The owner, Mo, is friendly and comical. He will tell you that their Greek Salad is the best in Knoxville, and he's right; I've had it half a dozen times. I've also had the Egyptian Sampler, which is great. This would be a great stop for Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. You'll have to endure dark lighting, chunky flower vases for drinking, and some strange smells, but it's all worth it.

King Tut's
By falcon65, 9/10/06
If you want a greek salad, and you can't get to Greece, stop by Moe's place. King Tut's is one of the most unusual and fun places you will ever go. Sing Karaoke, Drink your pop from a flower vase, play with his oversize novelty toys... It's hard to describe except to say...Just Go!

Moe's is the best.
By Jae, 7/10/06
Just go once..meet Moe and his family. Drink from the huge Vases. Enjoy the entertainment that Moe brings to your meal. And then on top of everything, the food literally melts your day away. Its good, and its freshly made, so you know Moe made it just for you. Maybe you'll get lucky and hear Rocky Top while your there.

Good Food and People
By Rae, 7/6/06
Although I dislike the decorations inside the place (everything from jokes to road signs and christmas lights), it was very good arab cooking and the people were so nice! They even gave me a rose on my way out. I'll definitely be returning there soon.

Just say "Mo"!!

I went to King Tut's Grill for the first time about a month ago.. and even still, I can remember how excellent the food and service was. Although a bit strange to have drinks served in flower vases, it certainly matches the character of the joint. It's certainly the kind of place that ethnic food novices and experts alike can find *SOMETHING* to eat and enjoy. We fortunately lucked out of having to do karaoke, but in the right situation, I might be interested in participating, just to enrich the experience of Tut's.
