My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Aubrey’s in Maryville tonight. My husband ordered the regular rib eye steak, rare, and I ordered the filet mignon, medium. After a few minutes my filet dinner came out and our waitress, Darlene, apologized that my husband’s entrée was not ready yet as the kitchen inadvertently prepared a Hawaiian rib eye instead of the regular steak. This was not a problem for us, we would have been happy to wait a few minutes. However, after cutting into my filet I found it to be quite rare instead of medium so we asked that it be returned to the kitchen. After a few minutes, one of the managers, Katie, came over and apologized for the problems and offered our dinners at no charge.
After only a short wait, our dinners came out together and they were fabulous!
We travel all over the country with my husband’s work. Every eight weeks we go to a different state so we’ve had the opportunity to sample food in many diverse places from Key West to San Francisco; New York City to Los Angeles and many points in between. I’ve never had a better steak in all our travels than we had at Aubrey’s in Maryville tonight. In addition to the meat, the sides (fresh bread, house salad, mashed red potatoes, and Parmesan spinach) were top of the line.
We heartily recommend Aubrey’s restaurant for truly fabulous food, serene atmosphere and first class service. What a treat!
