Best on this menu: chile relleno. So so good and usually very fresh. It s all typical for Mex- American cuisine, but I wouldn t call the food bland. My usual order However is the chicken Special la casa and I order it with salsa verde ( con salsa verde). It is two shredded chi. Enchiladas cooked in a cheese sauce with green salsa stirred in. Soooooo melt in your mouth deliciosa.

Good food and even better service. Excellent choice for a freeway stop. Very reasonable prices and lots of choices.

I frequent this restaurant with my family several times a month. The cost is affordable and the food is awesome. The service is not great, but you can always flag them down. They give you a super huge drink, so you really don't need much help unless your food is wrong. The staff is friendly, if a bit unattentive. The place is clean, but it does have a smell. The smell is from cleaning the menus and closing them while they are still wet. My oldest son loves the cheesburger with fries, so it is nice that they offer it there. Our favorite meals here: Mine: Chilli Relleno, rice, and beans. Husband's: Pollo Loco, rice, and beans. 7 year old son: Cheesburger, fries, and cheese dip. 3 year old son: Cheesburger or taco, fries, rice or beans, chips. 2 year old son: rice and beans, pollo loco, cheeseburger, chips. The lunch menu is very affordable, most items are under $5. The most expensive meal we get is the pollo loco. It is a little over $9, but my hubby says it is worth it. If you are into mexican fare, give this place a try. It is one of our favorite places here.

This is a joke for a Mexican Restaurant. You only get service if you are a teenage girl with big hahas. This started out as a decent place, but as others have come in and taken over it has turned into a waiters date site. The food has become bad and the restaurant part is not clean. I am disappointed in the way it has turned out.

Incredible food, great service, relaxed atmosphere, low costs. What's not to love?

I have been a regular of La Carreta for about nine years. I eat there almost once a week. The service is great. The prices are very fair and the food is terrific. I have eaten at several other Mexican restaurants in different cities and states and this one is still the best.

This place has the best Mexican food that I have ever eaten. It was gr8! The place was very clean with a friendly, outgoing atmosphere. The cost was average for the type restaurant it is and the service was very good as speedy as I would expect it to be. I plan to go back every chance I get and I would recomend it to anyone who hasnt tried it already!
