Calhoun's Restaurant, Gatlinburg

My wife and I love Calhouns in Gatlinburg. We have been eating there reguarly since 1998. The food is always great. We especially like the Ribs and the Prime. My wife thought the fried trout was excellent however I guess they needed to remove it from the menu along with that fantastic cheese cake. Neither of us needed the calories anyway. The spinach maria is excellent along with a really well made salad. I see some complaints about service but we haven't had that problem and any complaint about the food like a bad potato was taken care of promptly. I have had my team members at work their several times and they handle large groups very well. Excellent view of the mountain, parkway and lift from the bar. Great Place to go. I would love to see the old menu back.

There are better places to eat and where service is ten times better. My wife and I and some friends have eaten there, and was not happy with it. Took forever to get a refill on drinks, and the place wasn't even that busy, food, was cold in 2 minutes and didn't have much taste to it. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Not bad. I think I could have found better food. Service was OK. Wouldn't return.

Spent the weekend in Gatlinburg and ate dinner at Calhouns on Friday evening. Was torn between a steak filet or the ale marinated sirloin. I chose the sirloin and it was FANTASTIC. That and baked apples all washed down with one of their crafted beers. What a meal. We had a young Russian man as our server and the service was above reproach. We are so looking forward to going back.

We go to Gatlinburg a couple of times a year and I start thinking about their prime rib a week before we go. The Prime rib is great, the service is great, the mountain trout is exceptional (husband's favorite), and the corn pudding is out of this world. So make this a place to eat in Gatlinburg. If you have to wait, it is worth it.. Yummy!!!

Tried it service was bad and the food didnt have any flavor.

My husband and I first "dined" at Calhoun's in Pigeon Forge on Christmas Day 2009. The next day we "dined" at Calhoun's in Gatlinburg and the following day we again "dined" at Calhoun's in Pigeon Forge. We ordered ribs once and we ordered "Ale Marinated Sirlion" twice and it was fabulous both times! The Garlic Bread and Corn Pudding are soooooooo good! We'll be in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg in a couple of weeks and guess where we're going to dine? I'd love to have Calhoun's Restaurant in our hometown! (:

I've eaten here twice & both times wasn't great. The first time I went I got a hamburger & was sick all night. Their food just isn't that good. My friends got married in Gatlinburg & Calhoun's catered. They were late getting there, didn't apologize about being late & the food was cold. They didn't even offer to give them a credit or discount!

Love the food. Steak is wonderful. We go to G-Burg often and always go to Calhouns!!!

Me and my boyfriend went here for our year anniv. and our waiter came about 15 minutes after we had sat there and got our drinks..then we ordered our food..before our food arrived the table across from us left and the waiter went over there and looked at the reciept and said GD when he saw that they left no tip. Later on he asked where we were from and we said Morristown,Tn. He then told us that he used to sell crystal meth here. He was not a very good waiter and we left no tip. I would hate to have heard what he said after we left. He was also looking down my shirt while taking our order..it was not a great experience
