I really like this place! The owners are really nice too, they take the time to know you and if you are a regular they will remember your name. I love the food, it is great. Service is fast and waitresses are very nice.
food horrible cold: ate lunch, food was just horrible on this day, usually best left in town, this day food was cold food had no taste, avoid if possible, value not good
well i tried this place since they moved into new building the other day for dinner, well nothing has changed for food quality, it all was taste the same bland, the egg rolls was cold and tasted of grease, only had one plate unable to bring myself to go back for more, plus at theprice of 9.95 not worth it, this made china star go up one star and that place is horrible, but the hotgrill was the only highlight of the evening so i give it a thumbs up but the rest save your money and goto china wok alot less on buffett but all is great to eat, and the food is always hot. other than the old joe gongs this place is the best to eat at. i will never return to ming garden even if they sent me free meals. im sorry it was just the worst food i have ever eaten and i love chinese food. the frozen meals at walmart and local grocery stores taste better than this place and half the price, that says alot to the quality that ming garden makes. just plain bad period!!
The Mongolian Grill is the cornerstone to this restaurant. It has an awesome setup compared to other Mongolian grills I've been to. The buffet itself is average. General Tso's chicken is a very unique and very delicious recipe I have only found at this restaurant. The fact they serve crab strips sets it apart from other Chinese buffets. However, other dishes are a bit bland and not-so-fresh. And they are a bit stingy with the cheese filling for their Crab Rangoons. Overall, though it's a great place to eat at when I am in that part of town.
I have been ejoying the food at Ming Garden for the past 16 years. The changes over the years have only enhanced the dinning experience. The buffet is always hot and fresh. Every dish is wonderful. They have a variety of Chinese dishes as well as American food and a salad and desser bar. There's something for evreybody. The dinning room is clean and neat. The owners are old friends now. I have been told that they are going to build a new building. That's great. A new building for the best Chinese in the area. I drive from Lebanon, Va. just to eat there.
Not only is Ming Garden the best Chinese restaurant in the Tri-Cities area, it is the best of all I have tried. The food is always fresh, never left sitting on the buffet. The choices are plentiful. The proprietors are friendly and always greet us with a smile. The service is great. The Shrimp Sauce is made to perfection - try it over the Fried Rice. If you don't have time to dine in, you can get the buffet to go.
