Amigo Mexican Restaurant, Johnson City

I think its based on which one you eat at. The Amigos on Jackson.. Amazing! The Amigos on Market Street. I wouldnt go back there if you Paid me to! Our food was uneatable I quitely mentioned to our waitress that it was to hot (an i lived in mexico an love spices!) and the next thing i know i have the "manager" yelling and screaming at me telling me im insane putting me down and threatening to call the cops. I never NEVER asked for anything to be taken off our order nor recooked. We were going to chalk up our losses and move on but after that treatment We will never go back to that one! I asked for his name an he said I Dont have a name, Finally he said its Robert, yeah ok im not sure i believe that one for anything. My kids ended up throwing up right out side of the place because it was so bad! All I can say is if this is how they conduct business then its not one I will be going back to EVER. And to cuss at a customer.... lets just say this was the worse experience i have ever had and wish anyone eating there the best of luck. Hope you dont get food poisioning.

I LOVE AMIGOS!! The food you order is cooked to perfection and you get it under 15 minutes wich is amazing for a busy place . I warn you though the nachos are addicting. : )

I love Amigos. I LOVE the salsa! I'm practically addicted to it. It's so delicious. The Pollo loco is divine. Mmm. I had Amigos yesterday.

Amigos is one of the best places to eat in JC. The food is always hot and tasty. Add to that the quick service, affordable prices, and warm atmosphere and you've got a great combination! We've tried all the Mexican places in the area, but Amigos is the only one able to turn us into regulars! BTW - If you're a Margarita fan - they've got the biggest in town. :-)

I love this place. The food is excellent and the service outstanding. The prices are very great too. Authentic Mexican food with authentic Mexican servers and cooks. Not like El Chico's. El Chico's is like the Mexican Olive Garden, an authentic name without the authentic experience. They are pricey too. Wait time for your food at Amigo's is fast and not like it's already made. You won't wait thirty minutes for an enchilada. Mexican music while you eat. The chips and salsa are great. Taco night is the greatest creation of our time. A+! I definitely recommend this place to anyone. I even brought my friends from Knoxville up to eat here and they are always wanting to drive up to go.

The beer is cold and cheap. The food however is somewhat disappointing these days. Many years ago the food was very good but it is cheap and tasteless now. I much prefer El Torito much better food

If you're a college kid who's lookin' for a cheap beer place with a little something to keep you from getting smashed too fast, Amigos is the place for you! If you're going for the food and atmosphere, it's about 2 steps up from Taco Bell on the taste and authenticity rating. One taste of the salsa had me saying, "Who made this stuff? Chef Boyardiaz?!" You'll get friendlier service in a great atmosphere at El Matador (N Roan location) or El Torritos (State of Franklin Kroger).

I love Amigos!!! 32oz beer for $2, how can you compete with that!! Service is always excellent. Best place in town for good food, cheap drinks, and fun with your friends. Juan Rocks!!
