Amigo Mexican Restaurant, East Ridge

I will NEVER go back to this location again and I would never recommend it either. The service was absolutely awful, I have never been treated that bad anywhere. I went with friends and family (party of 8) and we got our table right away but we were given 1 menu. We had to ask for more menus nd then when they were finally brought they were just thrown down. We ordered and got some of our orders and had to wait about 10 more minutes for the rest of us to get our food but some of the orders were not right. My friend who had to wait the extra 10 minutes had to send hers back because they did not bring her what she ordered. My daughter ordered a dinner that had chicken in it. She read it very closely because there are a lot of things she will not eat. When she got her food it had onions in it. We looked at the menu again and no where did it state it had onions in it so she had no reason to think it did and request that they be left off. We told the waiter about it and he said he could bring her the same thing without onions but it would be $2.00 extra. I asked why there was an extra charge and he said to get what she wants it would be extra. I said but it did not say there was onions in it. The waiter went to the table next to us and sat down with the people at that table and looked at us and laughed. I asked for a manager thinking maybe he didnt understand what I was saying because of a language barrier and the waiter continued to laugh and said ok he is coming. The manager or so we were told finally came to the table and i told him what the problem was and he started laughing at us too. He said what she ordered had onions in it if she didnt want onions then she should have ordered something else and I tried to explain it didnt say there was onions so again no reason to order something else or request they not be included. He continued to laugh at us ad said we should have known that because she ordered something with shredded chicken that it meant it would include onions. I was confused, when did the meaning of shredded change from shredded to onions but he insisted I should have known this and we would be charged extra if she changed her order to no onions. I thought maybe he is not understanding me and I tried to explain again about it not saying anything about onions and he looked at me and said to "shut the hell up and eat your food" and walked away. After I got over my shock of him saying that I went to the counter and asked him for his name and his manager's number. He said I didnt need it. I asked again and he asked me if I wanted him to call the cops and have them escort me out of the place. I said all I want is the name and number. He said well you will wait, I waited for him to check out the other people in line and he finally gave me the name and number and I asked him what his name was and he said I didnt need that. I asked again and he said Milton. I told him this was my first and last time I would ever step foot in this place. We waited to get our bills but they automatically put everything on one bill and added a $9.00 tip to it. If you or someone you know has been here and had a good experience, great but I would never recomend this to anyone.

Typical Mexican restaurant with decent food, decent prices but the staff is rude. If the help were better then everything else would fall into place and taste better.

This was one of the first Amigo Mexican Restaurants in the area and there food is very good. The atmosphere is your typical Mexican. It not a terrible large place but big enough. The major problem I had with this restaurant is the bathroom. They are not large enough for a handicap person even without a wheelchair. Also the distance to the restrooms is down a very long hall past the kitchen with the blaring music and yelling.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Chattanoga, not as authentic as La Altena.

This is my favorite place to go eat in East Ridge! Food is HOT, beer is COLD, prices are very fair, service is great,(just make sure they understand you). It's a great place to meet friends, munch out & drink a few cold ones.

Chips and salsa are served to you the second you sit down. Great bean and cheese dip! Perfect for on the go, I've worn a bathing suite underneath my clothes before with flip-flops.

Wow the food was great also the service very very fast alot of food fresh and hot great prices. Will be back.
