On Mother's Day 2008, I met with my parents, grandparents and other relatives ( a party of 11 in total) at about 12:30. The place was packed, but my parents had arrived at 11:55 am to put our name down for a table at 1 pm. I had to work at 1:45, eating at 1 would have just given me enough time to eat and visit with my family, some of which came from out of town (which was why we could eat earlier). At a few minutes after 1, we still had not been seated so I asked the hostess and was told it would only be a few minutes. Finally, at 1:15, my mother and I both went to ask. At that time we were told that because we did not notify the hostess that all 11 people had arrived, they had moved us to the bottom of the list! True, at 11:55 am the only people from our party that were there were my parents, but they were told they would have a table at 1 pm. What really made me incredibly angry was the way the hostess talked to my mother, she had a very p.o.'d look on her face and practically yelled at my mother. This is the same restaurant that we frequently go to for large family events, but I guarantee you that this visit was the last time. I can tolerate having to wait for a table, but you DO NOT ever talk to your customers in such a way! I work in Customer Service, had I talked to a customer the way the Acropolis hostess did, there's a good chance I would get written up by my manager. Horrible service, a negative 5 stars!!!!!
