Great time tonight at the Station House. My husband and I went for my birthday. Our waitress was great. Not in any rush to get us in and out. Our reservations were at 6:15 and we left there at 9:15. We were able to stay and hear several sets. The entertainment was really great. We both had steak and I also had shrimp. Very good. Great time!
This is by far the best place to be..... For the past three years my friends and I have celebrated our Birthdays at the Station House, and it has become a tradition we keep alive.. Great food and great entertainment..
Will never go back. The first time I went here was for my wife and I after our wedding before we left for our honeymoon in 2007. Very nice atmosphere but didn t get service that we expected. This last visit we made reservations 2 weeks in advance for 25-30 people for our daughters birthday who was turning 10(which means a lot of money spent for our group as the cheapest entree is about $15) and when we arrived we ended up spending about 30-45 mins trying to figure out how to seat our group together as the tables weren t grouped together as they should have been. 3 tables were together but 1 was on the other side of the aisle which we couldn t put chairs due to walkway restriction for fire code(understood that part but that should have been accounted for ahead of time). Once we got the seating arrangement figured out everyone ordered. The food took forever to arrive(that is everyone s but ours). Ours took even longer. Everyone in our party got their food after waiting more than an hour and then 15 mins after everyone else was done eating we were still waiting for our food. Our being me, my wife, my daughter(birthday girl), my son, and another child guest. I was livid. I forgot to mention that we drove 2.5 hrs from Athens,AL to celebrate at this place. I went to the manager and expressed my disappointment. The manager did apologize and took care of our bill as they should have. There is more to the story, while all the delays were happening with seating and meals, my daughter who had requested a song played for her so that she could dance with her father on her b-day, still had not heard her song even after we got our dinner(which I had a cold steak even then) which was a couple hours in. Finally, a positive moment started when the waiters came out with her cake, forgetting to light one candle, and sang happy birthday. The deal with the reservation was that the waiting staff handled cutting and serving the cake. They didn t. They sang, she blew out her candles, and they they were gone. No knife, plates, or anything we needed to cut and eat the cake. I took care of this part myself. While the cake was being cut(meanwhile everyone who traveled to be there was asking for thier cake in to go plates as they were ready to leave) my niece who was dancing(5 years old) got her finger stuck on a staple sticking out of the wall. When I say stuck I mean stuck, it went all the way in her finger hooked and the staple had to be pulled from the wall and left in her finger for a trip to the emergency room. This place is a real dump from the customer point of view. The atmosphere is nice and the singers are good but the service, wait, quality of overpriced food is not worth it. Go to dinner somewhere else and then catch a concert. You will be much much better off.
