One of Chattanooga's best-kept secrets is just a short walk from the historic Hamilton County Courthouse. This deli serves delicious sub-style sandwiches and fresh salads. Hot soups and hearty, meaty chili are favorites during the winter and the rotisserie chicken is a perennial pick of the downtown masses. A quarter chicken with two sides and a drink is less than. The small dining area seats 30-40 people. Tables are set up on the sidewalk during warmer months.
8/14/09 - Delicious lunch, nice atmosphere, highly recommended. Had the Pimento Cheese sandwich which was phenomenal on toasted sourdough. Will go back again and again. The lovely ladies there do a fabulous job. Sorry it took me so long to try it out!
Flat Iron Deli reminds you of that TV show Cheers. The people that work at the Flat Iron Deli know every one by name and if you are a new customer they will surly get your name and remember it for next time because you will be back. The chioces they have are far more then any other deli I have been to, and as a journalist for a food magazine I have been to a lot of places. Go to the deli for breakfest or lunch. The food is great, the people are great, and every body knows your name.
for the price, flatiron is a great little lunch place. i have lived in chattanooga for a few years now and i just found out about the flatiron deli. this new discovery will certainly save me some trips to subway, as well as some money too. it is a great little place to find a good lunch.
