Description

Family-style dining and delicious home-cooked food makes this a great choice, but the price clenches the deal. Although the menu changes often you can find traditional American cuisine. Communal seating at big, round tables. The service is friendly and fast.

It simply can not get any better than this family owned and ran restaurant. The chicken and everything served on the "lazy Susan" just can't be replicated any where else in the South! Still ran by the family that gives Bea's a family atmosphere. Wish I could eat there once a week!

My family and I stopped at Bea's this past Sunday. The food is still as good as I remember it the last time I ate there over 40 years ago. I have a 10 year old that says Bea's fried chicken is the best ever. All the food you can eat is brought right to your table and they never let it run out. Give Bea's in Chattanooga a try and you too will love it.

To all readers of these reviews about Bea's, have you noticed a "common denominator" in all? The "overwhelming majority" rate Bea's as FIVE STARS, and most patrons have been going there since childhood. I am in that Company. Haven't been for a few years, beacuse I now reside in Marietta, GA, but when I was a kid, we went there after Church on sundays, and we ALWAYS had to stand in a line outside, that stretched around the building. There's an old saying: If Locals are standing in line outside: IT'S GOOD! Sure, if you go alone or with a party less than 6-8, you'll be sitting and eating with people you don't know and it's a bit awkward; The food is worth the slight feeling of awkwardness - That's just the way it's served. Bea's is there - AND WILL BE THERE - because of Families, that keep returning - GENERATION AFTER GENERATION!

You know what, the price is very reasonable for the food you get. I have been to Stacys Home Cooking and their food lacked in flavor the same way their restaurant lacked in service . The food was very bland and the selection was more, but the quality was poor.Stacy's is more of an older folk place than a family restaurant. At Bea's you can look at everyone eating with you because of their unique round tables. I would choose Bea's over Stacys anytime. I have been in chattanooga for about 1 1/2 years and there are only a handfull of restaurants that have met my expectations. Today was a hectic day at Bea's with the buffet for only a dollar but i know it was worth the wait and alot of loyal customers showed Bea's their love and support. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and my first choice will always be Bea's. I would like to thank the kitchen staff for doing such a great job in giving us fresh food every time we go. Honestly i do not know any restaurant that would do that for their community. They gave back to the community today by offering their great food at a price that you could only find 50 years ago. Their are some large families that cannot afford to go out and have a good, decent meal at a great price Bea's made that possible today. They weren't thinking of what they could loose they just thought of giving back to the community that has kept them open for so many years. The few cooks that i have met (Fatboy, Fidel) have always been nice to us when we go. Alot of hard work goes in to that food and by what they say, they are proof that when they cook they want to make sure it is good. The cooks take the food they make at Bea's home to their families when possible so if it is good enough for them to take to their families you know it is quality food. In conclusion Bea's is a great family restaurant with great food, service and price that i have not seen any other beat. I will be a customer for many years to come and hopefully someday my children will be too. Try it i guarantee you will like it.

What can I say other than Beas has the BEST fried chicken in the universe!!!!! Everything was superb. The service was impeccable. The pinto beans, corn bread and slaw are to die for, and the corn bread dressing was so close to my mothers...it brought a tear to my eye. And it would be criminal if I didn't rave over the peach cobbler!!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally waddled out of the place. And all for 9.99....I would have paid 19.99

5 STARS for the food, 5 STARS for Cleanliness, 5 STARS for service, 3 STARS for building (as it is original since 1950). Country Buffet on a Lazy-Susan. Waitress in white nursing uniforms. Overall, we loved it and we will be back.

Went to Bea's this past weekend for the first time in about 20 years. They were every bit as good as I remembered and quite reasonable on their prices. EXCELLENT food, EXCELLENT servce, and good value for the money. We'll be going back every few weeks now that we've "rediscovered" it. If you want a good, homey atmosphere, more genuine Southern food than you can EVER eat,and good value for you money, try Bea's. It's not 5 minutes off the Interstate and a real treat!

Wow, I drove a long way to find Bea's as the best dining for 458 miles! Love the portions, the fast pace, the cobbler and more. Just wish the people who write their reviews here would take a bit more time to make sure they are using correct grammar, punctuation, etc. Makes them look less reliable as reviewers if they can't even manage their native language. Bea's is a wonderful place to eat, and I suggest everyone give it a try and ignore that fellow who says it is too expensive. QUALITY reigns over mere pricing!
