Being new in town, we were eager to try Provino's after a colleague mentioned that is a great place to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived with our two small children, we were told the wait was 15 minutes. 20 minutes later, we checked to see how close we were to being seated. We were told there was just one party ahead of us. For the next 15 minutes, as our children became increasingly tired and hungry, we watched as several other groups were seated. When we again asked how soon we'd be seated, we were told no suitable table was available. When we pointed out several empty booths, the hostess began listing reasons we couldn't sit at any of them. We asked to see the manager. After several minutes he appeared and told us they were running a little behind and were seating everyone based on when they arrived. We were on the verge of walking out when a kindly waitress said she would seat us in her section. She was very helpful and quickly brought out food since our small children by this time were exhausted and very hungry. The food itself was mediocre at best-poorly cooked pasta with bland, flavorless sauces. Our experience this evening with Provino's was very disappointing both in terms of service (except for our waitress) and poor quality food.
