Description

Charming Italian neighborhood eatery warms the heart, soul and belly. Try minestrone soup or garlic bread; ham and meatball submarine sandwiches prepared with New Orleans bread and zesty Italian peppers. Half and whole muffulettas with bologna, salami, ham and cheese, baked and seasoned with Italian salad mix, can handle any appetite. Regular and large pastas like lasagna, spaghetti and ravioli are served with Sicilian goodness, as well as garlic bread and antipasto salad. Conclude with desserts like Italian coffee, chocolate mousse and Italian cream cake.

I stopped by on my way home tonight to order a Chicken parm to go. When I got home there was meat sauce all over the chicken parm (an oddity where Italian food is concerned). I called to say that they should let people know that it comes with a meat sauce (doesn't say so on the menu) and the guy got very ugly with me. He said that it's ALWAYS COME WITH MEAT SAUCE AND ALWAYS WILL. I told him that perhaps the best thing to do was to forget the whole thing and good luck with your restaurant. He then told me if I came back he'd call the cops. This response was wildly inappropriate as I was pretty calm through the whole thing and just wanted him to understand how that could be a mistake to future customers. Perhaps threatening to call the cops is why there were only 7 people total in his restaurant. So much for the customer is always right. I'll make sure they don't get any more of my money and don't recommend them to out-of-towners.

worse dining experience i think i have ever had. the food was horrible. instead of pasta we were served somthing that looked like crepes with cheese and tomato sauce. despite our best effort we just couldn't eat it. we talked to the waitress about it but she brushed us off. after a couple of bits we left, paying full price no doubt. by the way we were the only patrons which should have told us something. we will never go back.

Worst Italian Restaurant Ever
By ,
On a recent trip to Chatanooga, I visited Mom's with the hope of finding one of the quaint Italian places with great food on the cheap. Although Mom's felt casual and was cheap, the food was terrible. It was as if an American had sat down and thought about how to make Italian food using only items that were available canned or frozen. Some cheap, casual Italian places are great because they have good food and don't break the bank, but this one lacks the most important part: good Italian food.

I really wanted to like it, but....

After reading the reviews, and then visiting, I really wanted to like Mom's. The food tasted like Stouffer's, sorry. The service was great, the restaurant was cute and quaint. My kids had the pizza and it was pretty good. My chicken parm was not good and my DH's spaghetti was sub-par. Go for beer and pizza.

The Best Place Ever!!
By ,
Mom's Italian Villa is the best restaurant ever. I've lived here all my life and have been eating here since I could chew. The spaghetti, pizza, sandwiches, everything tastes wonderful! You can instantly smell the delicious food the moment your feet hit the door. If you're ever invited, Don't Pass Up The Chance!!

never miss a chance to go.

Truly a wonderful experience. From the hometown feel and friendly staff, you are made to feel like you are part of the family. Family tradition and atmosphere add to great pizza and authintic italian cuisine. Our family has goe every chance we get for as long as we can remember... at least 30 years.

Will Never Go Back
By ,
I have been a patron of this place for 23 years. On Friday August 12, 2005 I along with four other people went to Mom's for lunch. One of our group was served Lasagna which was cold in the center and he politely ask our waitress to reheat the dish. After nearly 10 minutes I ask another waitress which turned out to be the Owners wife, if she could check and see what happened. She was immediately Very Rude to me and to our waitress. She was loud about the issue and made no apologies. If the Original owner (Mom) had been there, she would have been fired this rude person. Since this woman was the owners wife, I see no since in ever returning. Sincerely, Barry Brown Chattanooga, TN
