Big River Grille & Brewing
Description
This fun and lively spot is perfect for entertaining friends or unwinding after work. With eight different brews in their vats at all times, you are sure to find a flavor and body to suit your taste here. From the light Sweet Magnolia to the stout and hearty Iron Horse Dark, you will find micro-brewed nirvana. Pints are $3-$5 depending on the brew. Should you get hungry from lifting all those mugs, there is a complete lunch and dinner menu that rivals any in town. Entrees range from simple burgers and sandwiches to the thick and juicy Drunken Rib-eye ($10.95), a 12-ounce rib-eye marinated in beer and served with veggies and a baked potato.
This is a great place to eat! I enjoy their lunches especially the brewer's club and beer onion soup. They also have a variety of beers that are made by the restaurant. Highly recommend this dining experience!
My wife, my daughter, her husband, and I enjoyed everything. I give A+ on their home beer. Forgot the name of beer, but it was gold color, light taste, and very smooth, Hmmm good!!! :)
The service was professional and timely. I really appreciated how the staff allowed customer traffic before them. I hate it when waite staff just plow over you when you are trying to go somewhere. The staff even held the door for us before moving on to the tables outside. Drinks were topped off always. The food had a very original taste... like none other. I had the Fist and chips as well as a tasty artichoke/ asiago chees dip with toasted bagettes. Their beer is made in house and I appreciated the 5-beer combo for $5.00 where I was able to sample their in house beers. I strongly recommend this place to fill your belly and refresh your spirits.
#1 if you cared about the customer you would offer what makes the customer happy. All I wanted was a COLD beer - maybe a frosty mug. I was not able to get one, so I will NEVER go back and will discourage everyone I know from going there.
It was a difficult time for the waitress but she handeled it well. It is not her fault her employer will not allow her to SATISFY of her customers. And what I requested was NOT out of line!!!
Good beer, but lousy, third rate food. The Salmon and Chicken Caesars had hardly any meat on them, my wife's quesadilla was pathetic, small and over cooked, with a small chiffonad of lettuce and a thimble of guacomole(?). The Chicken Pot Pie had precooked chicken which was tastless. Sadly the Big River Grill is nothing like it used to be! We will not go back. Also the music was blaring so, we could not have a conversation with our food, and management balked at turning it down for us. TO BE AVOIDED!
Nice place. The area sure has come a long way from my last visit 5 years ago. As for the meal, Ribeye, potato and veggy, it sure was not worth the price that Big River asks.
Someone there needs to get out to some of the other places to see what a $25.00 steak should offer.
I liked the atmosphere, we are from Atlanta,GA. I had the grits with shrimp and mushrooms and it was spicy and I enjoyed it immensely, my daughter had their pizza and my husband had ribs and everyone was happy. The beer sampling was also great. Can't wait to go back again and probably will. Don't change anything...except to improve if that's at all possible.
A must for visitors in Chattanooga. Not only is the food, service and beer wonderful, it is also close to the Aquarium and River Walk for a stroll after your meal. Service has been impressive the 4 times I have been. If you aren't sure which beer you think you will like they will bring you a small glass to try. The food is fresh, innovative, the salmon is excellent, the salads are just as good, and the entrees are enough for 2 people!
