Depot Bar & Grill, Springfield

If you have not eaten here you must try it. The pecan-crusted trout & sweet potatoe fries are fantastic. Service is excellent; it is worth the wait. Best restaurant in Springfield/Nashville area. Consistently great!

I have eaten their many many times. I will never go back to Applebees, The Outback, or any other steak house. The Depot is the best resturant I have been too. So be don't be fooled about how small the reasturant is, because it has big taste in all the food.

The Depot is one of the best restaurants in the tri-county area. It is much better than any of the chain restaurants that Clarksville seems to attract. It is an actual converted train depot and while you're dining, a train goes right beside the restaurant. It is not very noisy, and adds a lot to the ambience. The only problem is that the restaurant is small so there can be a long wait time because the place is just so darned popular. If you enjoy the taste of a rum and coke cocktail, then try one made with Pritchard's Rum, a rum distilled in Kelso, TN. It is very good. The carrot cake at the The Depot is huge and so tasty - 6 layers high. Tell the manger he definitely needs to enlarge the building.

Food is excellent!! One of the first places I went to eat after moving to the Springfield area and have never been let down by the food or the service. I've had numerous friends and business associates that always beg to come to the Depot for lunch when they are in town. Everything I've ever eaten from there was awesome and fresh! It can be a little pricey, but to me worth it for the portions, quality and service. The only draw back is the size of the building, but for the character of the place... I guess it works!

Being from NYC, I found the food to be very good, service excellent and selections diverse. Probable one of the better restaurants in Springfield. Chips and salsa were a great starter. I had a fish special, a sea bass with steamed veggies. The fish was moist but the chef thought it was a nice idea to top it off with shredded cheese. I have no idea why and I immediately removed it. That is a no no! Good wine selection which included a Malbec. Value is excellent and the desserts were killer! Carrot cake and the creme burlee are a must try. Enjoy!

I have to say that the Depot is the best food in Springfield. The service is top notch, fast, and curtious. I recommend this establishment to everyone. Also, don't leave without trying the Carrot Cake.

The Depot Bar & Grill is fabulous -- tucked away in Springfield by the railroad tracks. It’s not the kind of restaurant you’d expect to find here. Perfect cozy size, excellent food, and an overall great experience. I can’t wait to go back!

When I can avoid chain restaurants, I do; and this place doesn't disappoint. Ample portions and consistently good food.
