Shogun Japanese Steak & Sushi, Brentwood

We go to Shogun's for entertainment and the food. There was no entertainment and the food was not all that good. No one ever gave us a refill on our drinks. The bathroom was not clean, towels was all over the floor and sticking to our shoes. There was no towels in the women's bathroom. My husband had to go to the men's bathroom to get us towel. Watched a waitress go in the bathroom, thought she would bring paper towels back. No, she went back to work. That doesn't say much for that waitress, surely she washed her hands and noticed ther was no towels. We had to wait for a while because it was raining so hard, so we saw several people come out shaking their hands. Overall our experience was not good.

Some of you people posting negative things here must not get out much. I have eaten Japanese food all over the world. Shogun uses fresh ingredients, the sauces are from scratch, the Sushi is superb. The service is good. I have eaten at all the Japanese Restaurants in Middle Tennessee. Shogun is the best food and show.

Are you people eating at the same place? I eat here at least twice a month. The best fried rice I have ever had, and the hibachi is amazing. Maybe you went on a weird night or some freak thing, but I by far recommend this place to everyone!

We were in the area and in the mood for hibachi. I have to say it is the worst i have ever had. When i told the manager she was VERY unprofessional and was rude. Our server never even smiled once nor did she say thank you. There was hardly any food on our plates and we didnt even have any food to take home. Never Never Never waste your time or money going here.

This is a great place to go and have a good time. It can get a little loud, but that's part of the atmosphere. Great food!!! The dinning area is clean and the service is very nice.

Took my wife here in May. Expensive. The service was very poor and the food was not any better. No one at our table ate more than half their food and no one took it home. Everyone at the table commented about how bad it was. It was a race to see who could get their check first and leave. Ended up going to Sonic and getting burgers on our way home. If you are thinking of going here save yourself the time and money.

The food was excellent as well as the serice and value. the owner also was a very nice person and made sure everyone was happy and taking care of on my sons first 12th birthday...thanks shoguns

six years ago, i had heard the food was good--i even tested the waters a few times when the restraunt first opened. it was very good then, or so i had thought with no other experience to compare it to. but today, it's a different story. the food was terrible. the sushi was the worst. the seaweed was chewy, the fish tasty frozen, and the habachi was uninspired. it wasn't even a good show. the worst fifty bucks i have ever spent.

not even on the same level as Kabuto in Rivergate

The drunk owner came to our table smelling of booze and asking how everything was. Way to be professional
