Yep, it did trade hands. About the only thing that changed was the name. Now its some Family Restaurant or somethin. I too was wondering about the place, but upon walking in, not a fork or a chair has been changed! And the food is still really good, but the price is going up and up, thats what hurt Cindy, according to all us locals. She used to be like $6.50 for the catfish buffet, then up to $7.50, then about a year ago it went to $9 and she lost 50% of her longtime customers. (including me). For 15 years, the parking lot always full, but for months b4 she sold, it wasnt half full. Thats about the way it is now with the new owners. I wish them luck if they dont lower prices. People in this area are largely retired and we just dont like paying for more than about $7 or $8 for a meal. But it IS a good place to eat!
I have never been disappointed with cindys, have always enjoyed eating there, but was by there a day or so ago, and didn't stop, because we were all full, but noticed they have changed names. just wonder if the new owners will be as good at it as cindy was. ???
Went the week of the Fourth and going again this weekend. We loved it. The fish was just as good as Meo Mios at half the price for a party of six. If you want atmosphere go to Meo's, if you want good food at a decent price, go to Cindy's!
this place rock's.for 6 bucks an all you can eat breakfast that includes your coffee.lunch and dinner for 9 bucks you can eat at all the catfish and desserts and everything else.i eat here every time i go to LBL hiking, kayaking and 4wheeling.dont miss this place.its awesome.i just wish it was closer to nashville.
we've been several times but this time was disappointed. The catfish itself was fine, but the buffet salad, was lacking a few key items and messy/ unappetizing. The main thing is they are charging a lot for kids, we have 5 and we don't recommend cindy's for value with a young family. We found Ryans to be much better value for our large family, we eat a lot cheaper there and there's more choices, birthday discounts etc.
Our family travels from East Tennessee each year to camp at LBL. Each year we look forward to eating at Cindy's Catfish Kitchen. The food is great and the service is just as good. In fact, we are leaving October 25, 2008 for our next trip to LBL and you can bet we will be stopping at Cindy's. Can't wait to get some of that catfish, corn bread, etc. etc.
