Our hospital cafeteria recently chose to let Morrison s take over the cooking at our hospital. I thought this would be great but it is awful. I used to enjoy the days they served meatloaf and dressing but this week they have served both and it was the 2 worse meals yet. I have resorted to taking my lunch or doing without on most days because they can t cook. I wish they would let our old staff show them how to prepare meals. They also don t stock enough cups. They no longer use half and half for the coffee, the only choice is the non dairy creamer. Morrison s I beg you to review the menus you offer and learn to cook.
Okay, sometimes the food is better than other times, but I don't know any restaurant that does not have that happen. Been to some of the best here in Mobile and across the US and it happens. I will say one thing, the potato pie is superb, never had a bad piece.
Kudos to the Chef!!!!
I USED to love eating at Morrison's. What happened?!! The Fish Almondine was fabulous, but now I don't think it's even fish, and the batter is horrible. Please please please go back to what you had - I miss my fish so bad. My Mother even says things are not as good - very greasy and hard meats. Keep the tartar sauce the same, too!
I ate at the morrisons on airport blvd today and the food was awful. the chuckwagon steak was so greasy I could not eat it..The person behind the serving line was rude when I changed my mind about what I wanted..I should have walked out then.....
Morrison's Cafeteria in Mobile, Al was a really good place to eat, but the quality of the food they serve is not the same as it once was. My husband and I used to really like the trout almandine, but the last couple of times we got it it was awful. I don't believe it is trout anymore. It used to have the crust with slivered almonds, but now it is an awful batter and has no taste and is greasy. Yesterday, Sept. 24, 2009 we again gave them another chance and got their chopped steak which also used to be very good, but yesterday tasted like a cheap imitation meat with fillers. What has happened? The price has REALLY gone up. The cheap imitation piece of meat we got was not over 3 oz. if that and was $7. A ripoff for sure. If it had been the same good beef it used to be it might have been ok. I know food prices have gone up, but $7 for a piece of meat with fillers is awful. We won't be going back anytime soon. We also noticed the last 2 times we have eaten there that the crowd had really gone down. I know why! Does anyone else notice the quality has gone down and the prices way up?
